A little gem and a must visit in gqeberha.
Grassroof is all what you want for the perfect getaway to the country, and guess what, you can bring the whole family. From granny who will gladly sip wine and enjoy the picturesque views, to the kids who have ample room to play in the expansive playground (there is even a mini bike course for them!), to your pets who can enjoy some doggy playtime with the many furry friends who call grassroof home.
Food is five star quality. Yes, some might complain about the price but can you really put a price on organic, locally sourced, free range (guilt free) food? I gladly pay the extra money as you will taste the difference when your taste buds burst at their amazing flavours and textures. They also have many vegetarian and vegan options on their menu.
I personally recommend the burgers which are huge and very tasty! The pizzas are also very authentic with a thin and crispy base.
When you are done stuffing yourself with their delicious offerings, feel free to take a stroll through the gardens filled with beautiful indigenous flora. You can even stop at the quaint farmstall that has a range of delicious delicacies, everything from organic vegetable and fruits to lovely homemade jars of blueberry jam. Come early in the day if you want to get your hands on a sought after pie or pastry from the farm stall.
The service was amazing, the managers were very friendly and accommodating. The owner is very friendly and I want to thank her for creating such an idyllic spot with a green mission.
I will definitely be back with my doggie and my fiancé, we are looking forward to spending many more lazy afternoons making memories at this...

Read moreThis place sucks, If RACISM was a place,I'm never one to use this word. My wife and I were enthralled by the sunshine and rainbows blasted over the internet. What they failed to post is non whites ares treated differently. We waited over 5min to get placed at a table, waiters walked past us like we didn't even exist, kitchen staff looked at us like why are we here.It felt so awkward. Eventually a waiter said find a table and sit ANYWHERE, he will find us. whilst looking for a table a waiter tells us this place is closed and points us at the exit of that section not helping us find a table. A white family arrived after us and was immediately attended and placed at their table, the table was not reserved, a family had just left the table and another got it instantly , we seated by ourselves now waiting over 25min for a waiter and they all walked past us like we didn't exist. I'm not one to brag but I am certainly far from broke and my wife is a medical professional, my wife's designer bag along with our dressing probably went unnoticed in this small town n the car we drive was tucked away in the parking. Unfortunately for the waiters we always tip over 10% and our bill is always over a grand. I've been treated fantastic at 5 star restaurants even outside of SAand this far from 1 star has the audacity. This place has no room for the minority.iv never experienced racism like PE.also chairs and tables are old, uncomfortable chairs, old dirty cushions, bad smell, cats all Over food in the store, .. The reply to this and other reviews says everything about the attitude...
