Mugg & Bean Bram Fischer Airport — Restaurant in Free State

This restaurant doesn't deserve even a 1 star. We were a party of 3. Waited very long for only milkshakes. 4 waiters was hanging on a counter. 2 shakes arrived, in the hand (not in a tray). We waited again for the 3rd milkshake. Saw it on the counter. Later my husband got up to get it himself. The waiter walked with shuffling-feet (it was in the morning!) - no energy, no enthusiasm. While we were there, 2 tables was used, glasses and stuff still on it - customers left before we came in. In the hour we were there, those tables were not cleaned. I see, Management, that a lot of customers complained about poor service. For all of them you answered: we don't want you to remember us like this, please make contact.... I ordered a beer. After waiting about 20 minutes the waiter came to me, asking whether I received my beer yet. I said no, and he went somewhere to go and find out what is happening with my order. 10 minutes later, still no beer, another waiter asked me if everything is fine. I said, “No, everything is not fine”. This waiter then walked away. I called him back and asked why he walked away and he said that he wanted to get me a menu. I then indicated that I already ordered a beer, but that they should rather cancel my order. This is not the first time that I received horrible service at this M&B. I think it is because they are the only restaurant at the airport, they have a monopoly and there are no competition to keep them...

Never had a "great" experience here but this time no aircons inside and the cooling fans didn't work properly splashing water all over the place and we had to request that they please fill them up with water and some ice to function. Two of our dishes we had to change due to unavailability after we placed order already.

Otherwise our waiter was great and looked well after us and It should be looked a bit higher up for stock and ensuring shop running top notch and its a busy time of there year at the airport.

Can get a lot busier there are a lot of people living around that don't want to travel to big malls for a nice meal and if there's good food good service and great reviews...
