Today my family decided to have a quick brunch at Monte casino, Anat as it was my birthday
When we got there the staff was unfriendly and a tad bit rude. Unorganised and confused, sadly after placing our order we noticed one lady with a thick piece of paper towel stuffed up her nose, preparing orders at the gas cooker.
Clearly the chips station was not set up as yet and the oil was not turned on. The staff had realised that we ordered chips when preparing the last wrap (we ordered4 items) the male attendant went to the back with a metal bowl of frozen chips and said that they would call us when it was ready.
I do understand that the fish aways and debonairs have the same owner as Anat however due to my family member having a seafood allergy we don't purchase seafood, due to anaphylactic symptoms and previous hospitalisation.
The staff had inconsiderately decided to have the chips fried in fish aways and you can taste the cross contamination of seafood, and denied this when confronted
When I asked for the Manager he/she was conveniently not available, to make things worst the assistant manager was dealing with her bleeding nose and preparing food. I'm not a hygiene specialist however I do assume this is against regulatory law of food prep, head office was unable to assist either with my complaints.
There are many alternatives to Anat at the Monte Casino, such as yiro wraps at competitive prices. I definitely will not endure and unhygienic, unprofessional, unapologetic experience.
I am writing this to inform you of my negative experience as I am a business owner and shareholders / owners should be aware of the customer experience and how staff are mishandling...

The lady looks at me and ignores me, I wait.. She looks at me no greeting but with a what do you want look and says he will help you. Ok just like that. Gentleman comes to assist me with no effort I greet him how are you and he says hi and that was it as if he was doing me a favour by helping me. .. I'm busy placing the order and he looks at me if I'm taking up his time by deciding and adding on to my order. I cancelled the order after that and he mumbled something to me. I don't know what. I then asked who's the owner I would like to talk to them no response.. Told him that your service and hospitality is shocking... That never bothered him. The other staff members around were not even bothered......

However the transaction was charged twice on our account. We went back and the owner said she will check with speed point. Then she said that speed point told them that we must sort it with my bank. It was little under R500. We already drove 52km to solve this and now we must take a day off or spend time to solve this. Like a silent customer. We walk away silently with our family and relatives and everyone who will highlight the interest on Anat to us as we don't have time to be stating our rights as a customer.
