I’m not sure Blackwoods should be on Uber Eats. I’ve ordered from them three times in the past month, and every single order has been wrong.

First order: Half my items were missing. While they did drop off the missing items later, this shouldn’t have happened in the first place. Second order: My cold drink was missing entirely. Third order (tonight): This one was the worst. After placing an order, I was informed an item was out of stock. The app didn’t allow me to update the order, so I called the shop to amend it. After waiting 15 minutes, my order was canceled. I re-ordered, only for the same thing to happen again. When I called, I was told I had to wait for the app to allow me to update the order. By the time the final (still incorrect) order went through, I’d already wasted nearly an hour. I called in earlier, I spoke to the same staff member, why not call me after you realise this keeps happening instead of cancelling my order?

Now, I’ll be stuck eating at 9:30 PM (hopefully) when I could’ve had a meal from somewhere else much sooner. This kind of disorganization is unacceptable and makes me question whether they’re ready to handle online orders through a platform like Uber Eats.

I hope Blackwoods takes this feedback seriously and fixes these issues. Customers deserve better.

This place is just all round great. The price is very reasonable and the food is fresh so we dont mind waiting a bit. Also they offer a variety of options with 3 different menus for thr food.

They have the pie and pizza options, special dishes menu where they provide you with additional items they may be trying out and ons their main menu they have specials for each day but also a sit down discount on some items. Children are welcome and there are also specials in this regard so the kids are welcome and may even eat free if depending on what the adults order.

This place has an option to book for special events, meetings and more.

There are various sections to be seated in, there is a bar, a shelterd aeea with sport tv, outdoor seating and then also sitting in the shade outside whilst close to the kids play area. Sometimes they fill up quickly.

Food portions are great, I am one of those people who prefers the hearty meals that will fill me up and keep me full.

Also there is a loyalty card and on some specials or game nights you get double points but how this system works is still a bit of a mystery.

They do have a food challenge also, very fun and your name goes onto the board after completing the challenge 10 times and you get a shirt or hat and a champagne on your 10th completion.

So let's just immediately say that food wise I was immediately surprised. I have the expectation that pub fare, catering to guests mostly there for the alcohol, is going to be palatable at best. BLACKWOODS however delivered tender, moist chicken strips, beautifully crumbed mushrooms and delicately flavoured garlic snails. . The chips weren't much to rave about but hey they're chips, as long as they're cooked through, they don't take away from the rest of the dishes served. The menu is decently varied(I chose to be less than adventurous with my order on the first visit), with a variety of open flame grilled meats and the portion size is generous. The two entrances into the place might give one pause but grit your teeth and go on through cause the laid back chill atmosphere on the other end is super worth it. Staff were friendly and attentive. Plenty of parking adds to the draw of the place. The venue was recommended to me for a work function and now I definitely see why. I would say its a bit of a hidden gem...
