Copperleaf Cafe — Restaurant in Gauteng

It’s a shame since this restaurant is in a really nice location, with beautiful views of the golf course. Things that will soul crush your soul while you are here: Service: I think the staff really forget they are at work and not a get-together. Throughout the restaurant, you hear the noise of the staff more than the other guests. It’s almost as if they are the main attraction, that’s how loud they are. In between chatting with one another, expect to be ignored while they stand in the middle of the restaurant checking their phones, sending out wrong orders, etc.

Cleanliness: The service is beyond appalling, but not as appalling as their dirty kitchen, which is open to the public. In addition, if you meet one of the staff members in the bathrooms, catch your mouth before it drops to the floor when you see them walk out without washing their hands.

Food: Mediocre at best, in which case you should appreciate that the food didn’t give you the runs due to the aforementioned hygiene levels.

Living in Copperleaf, this is the closest restaurant we have and it would be great if it could at least offer an average level of service, but after years of complaining, I’ve come to expect nothing more, not even a decent...

After a game of golf, my partner and I came to your restaurant this afternoon and was served by a man who wasn’t even wearing a name tag, so I couldn’t identify him. He dropped the menus at our table and vanished, didn’t ask if we wanted anything to drink, didn’t check in, nothing. I had to get another waitress just to be helped.

This is completely unacceptable. If this is how your staff treats paying customers, I have no interest in coming back. The service was absolutely terrible and ruined the entire experience for me. I don’t spend my money to be ignored, I regret...
