We have waited so long for our order, even though there were 3 sushi chefs working at the sushi bar. While we were waiting for our order, there was another guy who has pitched up and got his massive sushi order first (after ordering at the till). Fine, we were patient. However, the worst was yet to come. The owner, along with 3 other Chinese people were all drinking beers and being loud, all while one of the women working behind the bar went over the guy's order to check everything. SHE TOUCHED AND PICKED UP HIS SUSHI PIECES WITH HER HANDS WHILE HE WASN'T LOOKING!!! That's when we started watching the staff like a hawk! Before we received our food, one of the Chinese guys started shouting at an African sushi chef, signaling that he must get out from the sushi bar and leave, telling him to "F$#% off". The chef tried to reason with the guy, but kept being shouted at and told to "f-off, f-off". It was horrifying to say the least! Finally, we have received our order, and when we simply asked for more soy sauce and checking if our order was correct, the other staff members started to get rude.... We got home, and were so hungry we dove right in! The pictures as shown is what was received. The soya sauce tasted very sweet (not salty like it's supposed to). The sushi was poorly made and the rice was very dense (like 'pap' almost)... Rainbow rolls only had salmon on top, not inside. California rolls were extremely tiny. Maki rolls were skew and poorly made. Sashimi wasn't evenly sliced.. And we spent A LOT on this food.. I was so embarrassed as I wanted to show my sister our local sushi spot (we used to be Tataki regulars here, even after the name and owners have changed). Being "patient" with a new "transition" of ownership is no excuse! This change of ownership has happened nearly a year ago! I know I will get your generic "copy and paste" reply which you leave for everyone who leaves a bad review on Google, because that is the type of business you're running. We simply wanted great, affordable sushi during a level 4 lockdown, because we could've done with some getting out and cheering up, and SUPPORT LOCAL EATERIES. I rarely leave bad reviews, but felt that it was necessary to warn others against this place. Rather go to Tataki in...

We had the most horible experience tonight... sooooo disappointed in the way that management handled the situation.

This use to be our favourite place, but we will never go there again after the way we were treated.

We got seated by a waitress and were then forgotten about for 20min. The waitress was however kind enough to bring us some sushi to snack on from the sushi bar, after taking our order, and apologized for forgetting about us and for the wait. Eventually when our order arrived after another 30min we received half of our order. When this was queried we were told we received the wrong order, but nothing was done about that... we then had to ask for a bill as I had to pick up my brother from work. Unfortunately we could not enjoy the sushi buffet as it took 1,5 hours to order, receive and share one platter plate of sushi and try and get a bill.

A bill with two full sushi buffets were charged at R155 each and I requested them to please only charge us for what we ordered and for what we actually had, as we could not enjoy the buffet after bad service. I then had to beg for a bill which also took a very long time.

The manager did not once come to our table even when he new there was a problem... in fact he eventually assisted the waitress, with attitude, by ringing up a order and ensured that the bill worked out more than the "buffet", by adding the plates brought by the waitress which we never even ordered.

It's really sad to see how this situation was handled especially with the manager not even bothering to just chat to us about our concerns.

Very disappointed regular...

Myself and my fiancé were once upon a time, happy, regular customers (at least twice a month) at this Sushi / Chinese Restaurant, Why? Because of their amazing Sushi Buffet and service. I then decided to surprise my Fiancé and take her out for supper on Valentines day....... As Shocking and upsetting to say it was the WORST experience that I have experienced before at a restaurant!! We arrived just after 6pm and took them almost 3 hours for us to receive our not even complete order! Only 2 waiters serving and it was Valentines Day which is obviously a busy evening (So they were under staffed thus giving very slow, poor service) The Sushi was not compressed properly and kept falling apart! Brought incorrect order (even though we waited so long for our Sushi orders) First time ever that i found a fish bone in my sushi!! We complained to the waitress and the owner came to apologize and offered to give me free stuff for what!! THINKING that I wanted our meal for free?? We waited an hour for our 1st order to only then hear after I ask to hear that the salmon bean curd was out of stock!! Having to ask when our food is coming and then told coming soon to get a plate more than half a hour later with two portions on the plate. I will never sit foot in that place again, this restaurant lost a regular...

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY! We used to visit this place often about three years ago—it was one of our absolute favorites. But after seeing a steady drop in quality compared to other spots in the area, we eventually stopped going. Today I happened to be nearby and decided to give it another shot. I ordered some sushi, and even though I was the only customer there, it still missed the mark completely. And, they made it “fresh”. We were hungry, which usually makes food taste even better, but somehow this sushi managed to be both bland and unpleasant. The rice was the worst part—grainy, dry, and weirdly textured. It tasted like leftover normal rice from the weekend. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they just took the weekends leftover rice. And there is very little filling. The deep friend stuff was definately more than a day old.. horrid! We couldn’t even finish a quarter of it. So sad to say it, but this was our last visit. It’s hard when a place you once loved drops this far in quality.

I recently tried the all-you-can-eat sushi at Good Flavour Grace Sushi and unfortunately, it was the worst sushi experience I’ve ever had. The pieces were overloaded with rice, leaving only the tiniest bit of fish. This made it impossible to taste anything but rice, which seemed like an attempt to mask the lack of quality. I expressed my concerns to both the owner and the waitress, pointing out the excessive amount of rice, but nothing was done to address it. Feeling dissatisfied and still hungry, I ended up leaving and grabbing a meal next door. The sushi was just not edible as served. Definitely not a place I’d revisit!
