Holstein Meats — Restaurant in Gauteng

I used to go there often about 15years ago, went this morning and I'm happy to see the quality of the food is still very good, the prices are abit more than the traditional butcher but you really dont mind paying for the quality. We decided to have brunch while there, food was very good and price's are reasonable. I give it three stars because it was very tasty food but service is slow and the mash on both plates was cold when it came out. Apart from cold mash the food was great value for money and a very nice portion size. Seating area is nice with old style wooden bench tables and chairs with two TV screens mounted up on the walls. With 3 times of buying bulk meat frome this store and with the Management bad responce I would never advice anyone from buying here. The customer reception when off food is returned is very bad. Easy to take your money but cares nothing to tell you to go somewhere else of you not happy. They give you nothing in return for bad service, tell you that your returned food was conveniently tested and was fine to absolve them from taking responsibility and then supply you with less meat back than what you had. Monetary value only they say not hey sorry for the inconvenience we have caused nothing. Delicious, wholesome food. Loved my pork schnitzel with sides of potato salad and sauerkraut. Hubby was happy with his plate of crispy pork belly and bratwurst with sides. Nice having mustard and other popular condiments on the table. Sweet ending with a slice of nutty apple strudel. Good menu of different German dishes for breakfast or lunch.
