Was served undercooked/not baked and slightly toasted bagel which I guess the chefs thought would fix the doughy not baked bagel. For them to serve a meal like this shows the calibre of chefs and management who doesn't care to see what leaves their kitchen. When I took this up with the waiter and hostess, they said this is how it is served! What nonsense! Eventually the manager came around and showed her the unbaked doughy bagel. She took it back to replace, but the rest of my table was done with their breakfast so I did not ask for a new meal! When the bill came, they had the nerve to add the uncooked bagel in! If your waiter is not around, the rest of the waiters in the restaurant ignore you and cannot assist! Pathetic service! The waiter lied about removing it and pretended to not know that it was still on the bill, and blamed the. Manager! A restaurant that takes chances and thinks that paying customers should accept sub standard food is unacceptable! Catch a wake up Just Darling staff, chef, waiters!!! You want to have fancy decor and atmosphere but your service and food is not even fit for a 1 star rating ! Update after the restaurants response:Whoever responded to this post from the restaurant says they checked the bagel and it was cooked, which is utter bull. Trying to save face on the reviews is UNACCEPTABLE!!! The manager agreed there and then it was undercooked, and now you've posted on here lying and saying they saw it was cooked. STOP lying! Just hosted our small non traditional wedding and reception at Thaba just darling and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. We have been in contact on a weekly basis with Micaela the manageress who answered our every question, made time to sit with us at every pop in we did to follow up. Damian head chef and manager also was amazing on the day who arranged and prepped our meals and desserts as well as time managed the delivery of drinks and meals along with the amazing service from our appointed waiters Muzi and TK who made sure our guests were attended too and laid out the food and ensured our beverages were cold and stocked. The food cannot be faulted as all our guests had nothing but great compliments which puts catered wedding conference type plans to shame lol. The only suggestion that I can give and thus a 4 star rating is that the upstairs area definitely without a doubt requires airco ditioning as with this heat wave 2 fans and a small portable airco was just not enough and the extractor fan just doesn't seem to help pull out the heat. Along with that somehow some soundproofing is needed as the noise from the blenders and downstairs travels up and echoes quiet a bit. I had the sticky chicken salad and it was really good. I had just over half and asked the waitress for the rest to go. She took my plate and returned after a while with my doggy bag. I didn’t think much of it until later that evening, when I opened it and found only a single chicken strip left (the rest of the chicken was removed). The salad’s dressing, served separately in a small bowl thingy, was also missing.

This is extremely unprofessional and concerning. This raises serious hygiene concerns: was my leftover food or dipping sauce being saved to serve someone else? Was I having leftovers myself that whole time? Very unsettling.

Having food taken away and returned in a different state is a major red flag.

This was really disappointing because I genuinely did have a good time whilst I was there, the food was good and the staff were fairly friendly, it was also my first time there.

If you do decide to go maybe have the waiter/waitress bring you a container for your food should you wanna have it to go like how they usually do, or just check before you leave, so you avoid what happened to me. Safe to say I don’t trust what they’re doing with the food there.
