RocoMamas Kyalami — Restaurant in Gauteng

I’m not usually one to leave negative reviews, but the consistent disappointment we’ve experienced during our last two visits is truly frustrating. Both visits have been far from satisfactory, particularly when it comes to the food — not to mention the service. We had to return our plates to the kitchen three times due to various issues.

One recurring problem is that the ribs are always served cold. This has happened on both occasions, and it’s hard to understand how all three of us were served cold ribs each time. It would be understandable if it happened to just one of us, but not all. If it’s not cold ribs, then it’s cold fries, or wings that go cold while the other problems are being addressed.

And just when we think the issues have been resolved, we’re served sauces or rib flavors we didn’t order. For example, ordering Southern BBQ and receiving an extremely spicy version instead. On top of that, the portion sizes seem inconsistent with every visit — we can’t understand why that is.

Please take this feedback seriously. We are regular customers and truly enjoy your establishment, but we’re becoming increasingly discouraged. These may seem like small issues from your perspective, but to us, they’re significant — especially when we’re paying top dollar and expecting a...

Normally we have a great experience here but this time we waited over 50 minutes for our food. Other people in the restaurant also waited very long while takeaway and delivery drivers came in hoards and left with their orders. Sit down guests are last on the priority list which wasn’t very pleasant at all. I had to go ask twice how far the food is and also for a glass of ice after waiting 10 minutes for it. I feel the people that made the effort to come and support the restaurant in person should be prioritized. Been to this branch after a very long time. There was only one waiter serving and he was not available to serve us as he was also serving the delivery ppl. The manageress was also not bothered to attend to us and just stood at the counter. The food quality overall was not rocomamas standard. Very poor in comparison to the othere we attend eg. Monte casino and Edenvale. The place was very empty which I now understand why as the service is very poor.
