Roman's Pizza Lyttelton — Restaurant in Gauteng

Probably the worst experience I've had at a Romans Pizzeria. I ordered for delivery. Their special Triplle treat deal. Which is R199 and the of course the delivery fee (which they also didn't show when I ordered, but that's not the problem in question). After a while I called them to ask why my order was taking so long.

They then told me the delivery driver apparently was at my flat already, but I wasn't there and didn't answer my phone. I can see the gate from my flat balcony where I sat and waited for my pizza since they are like 5km from my house.

I had to then go pick-up my pizza myself and the still charged me delivery fee. After I had to pick-up my own pizza.

Absolutely ridiculous.

Will never support this Romans again.

I love their pizzas and specials, but that service...

I am slightly frustrated by the service of the online website ordering system. We placed an order with specific delivery instructions. 1.5hrs of checking the site, it still showed that it was at the restaurant. Assuming the restaurant was busy we decided to have a quick phone call and confirm. To be told that the driver attempted to phone and couldn't make contact so turned around was not a great response. Especially after specifying specific order instructions which would have prevent this. It was then requested to pick up the food ourselves even though a delivery fee was paid. Ordered two pizzas through Mr Delivery tonight. Usually no issues with these pizza's. The ham on the Hawaiian pizza was off and was not okay. Other Pizza was fine. Phoned Hilda (manager) on duty and reported my concerns. She asked me to hold on and claims she tasted the ham and agreed that there was something wrong with the ham. I asked her to ensure ham not used further in orders. Hilda indicated they will replace 2 pizzas but I had to collect which I could not and they do not have delivery service. Was told to ask for Hilda next time we order and provide this evenings order number. Hoping she will...
