To the Schafflers management team...are your hospitality only reserved for the selected privileged?Yes....I said it. Your service is pathetic to say the least. This is what transpired as the most uncomfortable ordeal to say the least....to reserve a table, I called in with my nationality indian name and Jay told me that they have no reservations available. Not even 5 min later, my white friend Diane called in and lo and behold she got us a table. On arriving at the place to eat....we had to wait to be seated. 5 waitresses and 1 manager dressed in white, 6 min later acknowledged my husband and myself, waiting to be seated. When we finally got to a table....we were seated not at the table my friend reserved for us but inside next to a pillar blocked from the "maddening crowd"....I guess it's an out of site out of mind experience?....not what we wanted. I then told the waitress this is not suitable, we have a booking under Diane....finally seated at the correct table with her name on it. My red blood the same color that runs thru your body too was now at boiling point. But I respectfully held my cool and pushed on. Your food is nothing short of mediocre and nothing to write home about. After reading the reviews I realized many Indians that have visited, and eaten at your unwelcoming place ....have had the same experience as I did. Never again will I ever visit your pathetic establishment. In this day and age to blatantly be called out and having to play the racist card is so degrading to say the least.
PS....I only gave it a 1 star rating because I had to choose 1 out of the 5. That 1 star is only for your friendly waitress Glory who felt our discomfort and apologized profusely on behalf of her management and establishment. I do hope you treat your staff better than you treat your non...
Read moreI am very disappointed with the landscaping service provided by Anthony at Schaffler's. The initial landscaping consulting fee is quite high - higher than I have previously paid for such a service (and after my experience here, I am definitely going back to the landscaper I used before!). But I was hoping that with the higher fee would come a high quality of service. Sadly, this was not the case. Anthony came out to my property last year towards the end of October. I specifically indicated to him that I wished to complete the landscaping work before the end of the year. We had a discussion about possibilities and preferences and Anthony assured me he would be sending through a landscape design and plant list shortly. Despite my numerous attempts to follow up with Anthony and Schaffler's I have received nothing. No landscape design, no plant list, nothing. And not even the courtesy of an explanation as to why not. Anthony did try to return one of my calls last year, but unfortunately the timing was not suitable and I had to ask him to phone back again later - he never did. As a consequence, I had to delay the landscaping work to the new year and will have to call out a another landscaper and start the process from scratch again. I consider the fee that I paid to be a...
Read moreSchäffler’s I will recommend 100% the most amazing Nursery out there. Under the trees is the worst place I have ever come across in my life. We have gone there several times and the service just gets worse and worse. However today was the cherry on the cake. Today I was met with the most disgusting customer service filled with utter arrogance.
We made a booking for 4 at 12:00 on their outside smoking deck. They took it down as inside, so made a plan by shoving us at a table that a person would have had to sat on a corner in order to sit at the table.
I then went to the manager (co-owner) Vincent to speak to him. First asking if his reputation is important to him. And my word was the reaction less than customer service. Asking me directly “Why do you keep coming back?” Then upon offering to settle my bill so that we could leave telling me “I won’t take your money” a whole R32.
Understand something sir. Your name is connected to the wonderful nursery which has a brilliant reputation, don’t ruin that. Understand that your best form of marketing is word of mouth that can make or break your business. I suggest you either take a serious look at how you handle customer service or put someone in...
