the Green Craft Bar - Modderfontein — Restaurant in Gauteng

Was looking forward to this visit, but it did not live up to expectation. It is a lovely, casual venue , with a very wide drinks selection and a beautiful view over the Modderfontein golf course. The golfers that use the venue however, are extremely loud and rowdy and spoil the ambience of the venue. Service is extremely slow in general and it took 1 hour and 15 minutes to get our lunch which was a burger and a plate of chips - we nearly cancelled it and left. The peanut butter burger itself wasn't so great - the burger came in a dry, tasteless pita instead of a bun and the concept doesn't really work, plus the peanut butter was one skimpy blob smeared on the pita. Otherwise the food was quite good. Won't visit again, as the crowd and slow service...

The Green truly is a Gem. I arranged for my fiancé's 30th birthday to be at the Green and I was so happy with the warm reception we recieved. The friendly staff helped me arrange the decor and they made sure we were comfortable and well spaced out.

Nola was our waitress and she was professional patient and kind. She knew the menu well and made spot on drink reccomendations. There are some truly inspired pizza topping combinations and the chicken tenders and chips are some of the best I have ever eaten.The mojito is also perfection.

The live guitarist also agreed to sing happy birthday to my fiance as the staff walked down with his birthday cake. This was a truly wonderful evening. We will definitely be going back...

Hi I must say that I find your response quite amusing and what’s more amusing is that you someone like yourself is representing the GreenBar.

Firstly I have reviewed the GreenBar with no intention of any sabotage and purely of my personal experience. I believe that the matter should be taken with the seriousness it deserves and not with the mockery you have displayed.

Honestly mistakes do happen, however what’s worse than a fly arriving in my pizza is how unapologetic you/the staff and management are about the incident.

I don’t think it’s necessary for you to even reply to as I think your mockery of a response may actually cause more harm than good for the reputation...
