The Greenhouse Cafe at Rosemary Hill — Restaurant in Gauteng

Went there for mother's day breakfast. Sat outside under the roof. The roof was leaking and we had to shift the table around, in order to avoid being dripped upon. The place is very nice, the property is excellent, got a huge wiff of fresh air as I climbed out of the car. There was no music playing in the back ground, there was nothing momentous regarding it being mothers day, like nothing at all. The service was very average, nothing really stood out, there was no "JOLLY" greeting, no welcoming wordings, just very dry attitude from the waiters. The food was really average. I ordered a traditional breakfast, the bacon was more fat than meat and too crispy to eat. The 3 tiny pieces of cut worsie, were tiny and over cooked. Tiny portion of mushrooms. No bread choices, no offer to toast the bread, no jams. For R95, I really think this was not a good breakfast at all, I got the impression that they had run out of ingredients and were trying to stretch what was left...my sun ordered the same and his was also equally skimpy and over cooked. The whole concept of rosemary hill, is very good, but I think management is not keeping an eye on the sustainability of standards and ingredients. Not sure that the food was worth the...

The Greenhouse Cafe' was the PERFECT venue for our wedding in March this year.

At our first site visit we got to meet the "boss lady" Theresa who took us on a personal tour of the venue, and we fell in love instantly!!! The level of service and professionalism had been exquisite from the get go and throughout the process.

Danica had been assigned as our wedding co-ordinator and was a HUGE help during the process. Her advice and guidance was truly valuable and helped us make informed decisions with regards to our big day. Danica was with us every step of the way and we cannot thank her enough for helping us make our big day one to remember forever!!

Additionally, the rest of the staff involved in our big day, including the chef, accommodation staff as well as the cleaning & restaurant/bar staff were all very professional and extremely helpful.

I would definitely recommend The Greenhouse Cafe' and the team to any bride-to-be as they make the whole process so much easier and definitely less stressful!! Good Americano and cold beer, service at till could be improve, four examples in the morning when we paid for our hike, we asked for a map of the trail, were told no map only to find one on the way back on the counter, this would have helped with our routes, secondly we were not told Amex Card is not accepted only to be told payment is declined, in the afternoon when we ordered our drinks while waiting we had a look around the shop and their rosemary products, all the while the drinks were ready but no one told us, only to find it waiting on the counter and fourth when we asked the cashier about accommodation, since we saw stunning scenery during the hike we were interested to know more about the place there was no enthusiasm simply told check the website for details....could do with more interest...other than that charming place which we did for the first time Love the fact there is no cash transaction at the till, on...
