Never in my life have I ever experienced such shocking service at an establishment!!! 7 adults, 2 kids at 2pm when the establishment is dying down. Out of the 7 of the adults 5 order pizzas and 2 order sandwiches. When food arrives, one pizza comes out, 10 minutes later the two sandwiches come out with two more pizzas. The other 2 pizzas are no where to be seen. 15 minutes after that we are told the other 2 pizzas will be out soon as they are in the oven. I then approach the manager to complain as we have still not received our pizzas and I was told that things like this happen and there is nothing she can do about it. Fumming I go back to the table to found out the waiter forgot to put the 2 pizzas that where missing in for order at the kitchen. By this time everyone else had finished eating. Finally after 25 minutes 1 pizza comes out and when I asked where is the 2nd one that didn't come out with the rest of the food was, I was told they only put 1 in for order and not 2!! I then demanded to see the manager again and alas she does not come to the table until 15 minites later with the last pizza arriving, explaining to us that the pizzas were not put in for order and therefore nothing could be done until she knew the order was in. Later on when one of the adults at the table went inside to use the facilities, she over heard the manager talking to one of her male waiters about how pathetic our table was and that she cannot handle customer's like us. I guess that's what happens when you have children running your establishment instead of trained staff. I will never step foot into The parks ever again, and I will tell everyone I know about how disgusting and unprofessional the service is. I do understand mistakes happen but how you handle it is a whole different ball game, and that manager has no idea how to treat patrons, nor handle situations that are the establishments to blame....
Read moreA firm favourite with my kids so we are regular visitors to The Parks. It's great for an early breakfast or a long lunch. If you are from out of town this place qualifies as 'off the beaten track' and can be hard to find, but it is worth the effort. There is secure off-street parking but it fills up quickly and you might have to park on the street (There is a guard and there isn't really passing traffic).
There is always a warm welcome at the gate and a friendly face to usher you to a table on the outside of the main play area or an inside table if you looking for a bit of peace and quiet. Kids have many options available, from a huge sandpit to mini golf (there is Playstation for the older kids).
The menu caters for all tastes but I can recommend it all. My favourite for breakfast is 'The Parks Breakfast' and the Tuna Salad or Italiano Romano for lunch. The coffee is always good and comes with a piece of their homemade biscotti. Kids can choose from the kiddies menu although my kids always opt to make their own pizza.
The staff are always friendly and the service is good however you can wait for your food if its busy.
If you worried about your kids and smokers stress no more as the smoking section is outside next to the parking and far away...

The pathway leads to the venue, with a basketball court and a designated smoking area as you enter, no signs to properly direct you where to go. I had Jacob the trainee as my waitron, he is well trained, well spoken and polite. He offered the taster beer selection, but kegs were not connected so I had to order the only beer that was available on tap, Swagga Blonde. Good enough. Chilled glasses is available. The food was fresh and the arrived in record time, it was a Friday, there was a kids party and each child was having pizza. The restaurant is clean and neat. Ample play areas for children and a big drinks selection for parents. Fresh vegetables are sold in the deli section. Good for...
