Really bad service. Food cold, soggy, bland, and late. Like a tourist, i been service better in other places, and believe me i aint picky. I can eat a can of soup if im starvin'. Obeen in othet countries arond the world. Some restaurants good and bads. This in the monument, was sadly bad. Think its mostly the lack of interest from the waitress or staff service in their lack of friendly customer service. And plus the cook need to be back to cook cooking school or at least learn some chef kitchen basics. The food was unflavored, i should take my salt & pepper, with me nxt time. I enjoy the food of few Restaurants in Cape, Johannesburg, Pretoria, and even in Kdorp. But here its really sad. Hope this reach the management or owners and improve everything. The way of doing business is not working, to go and order yourself, then the waiters standing around actually doing nothing, then they must search for the relevant people to give them their food, in our way our food was cold when we got it, the other problem is that the kitchen is used to supply salads for some other function going, go to a normal restaurant to see how to waiter, you can operate sufficiently with little staff if doing it right. I have eaten at uitspan restaurant many times and I am never disappointed. Their goal of making a homely and relaxing environment is definitely a winner and they make the best breakfast, the outside seating is incredibly enjoyable.
