15/11/2024 Our first time in this Wimpy. Lovely buzz atmosphere. Saw the 'Lekker breakfast' on the menu - it has scrambled eggs with chives in, toast, sausage, bacon, 2 cheese and corn cakes and a relish. The scrambled eggs were dry - and no chives. The bacon were overcooked. The cheese and corn cakes were DUST IN YOUR THROAT dry!!!!!!!!!!! Sausage and toast nice. Quite disappointed.

Mthombisi from Summerfield Wimpy is truly the best. I’ve never thought of Wimpy as a 5-star place but now I do (Wimpy Summerfield). Service was 5-star complimented by amazing food for my kids and even for myself (hottest and most delicious chicken wings. I’m so impressed. Wow. Actually can’t wait to go back. Thanks Mthombisi πŸ₯°

In my opinion, Wimpy has always had the best breakfasts. The Wimpy in Summerfields Shopping center was no exception. The service provided by Brian was outstanding. He helped with every little thing and he has an awesome, humble and kind personality. Thank you for such amazing service!

The service was absolutely great. However there's two things I noted while there. The first one is the park & dine system, I am of the impression that the staff wasn't trained adequately on the system or process, because I parked there for about 3mins with the two waiters just looking at me without servicing me. I eventually walked up to one of them to ask how the process for the park & dine works, only then was I serviced.

The second issue was with using my zapper app to pay, the staff didn't know that I can use my zapper app to pay. I also believe a bit of training would help the staff in this regard as well. However I should mention that the zapper app issue is not only isolated to one wimpy restaurant, I also experienced the same thing in one of the wimpy outlets in the east rand, so it's quite obvious that the updated payment methods at wimpy outlets might have not been communicated or implemented properly.

That's the reason for a 4 star 🌟 & not a 5 star. But the staff is very friendly &...

Since opening in the area, we visit frequently as it is conveniently located near the carwash. When we wanted to take a seat today, we were advised that we need to practise social distancing and we were directed to another table. We were quickly surrounded by more patrons and social distancing was non-existent. What was more disturbing was the fact that as more people arrived, the tables that were 'reserved' for social distancing were opened up and within a few minutes the restaurant was packed to 100% capacity and not 50% as per government regulations under level 1. If the establishment is not taking responsibility for a basic regulation, what else are not done? Are the cutlery really sanitised? Are the staff screened on a daily basis? It does raise a few concerns. And mainly, where is the basic social...

My go-to while the family is busy with extra murals, to get a bit of work done. Always friendly, efficient service, clean and tidy. Plug points and WiFi available, which is great! Good fast food as you expect from Wimpy, and some slightly healthier options added to the menu overall, which I appreciate. One small note from me – not a fan of pale chips – I love the way they are done when I ask for 'crispy' chips, but that's actually just normal, properly cooked. I can't imagine anyone would prefer them pale like that. Something to look into perhaps? That said, I go there so often, it's always a good experience and they know my order automatically. I know the waitrons by name. Tholakele is awesome. So is Nkosi, Mthobisi, Aceman, Ntombi (serves me less often so I hope I didn't mistake the name) all of them...
