Drove from wilderness to here and arrived in front of the gate where security told us we're not allowed to go in even to talk to reception and that we should call them if we want to go in and claimed to be FULLY BOOKED. Turned around and drove in by the one way, walked into the Restaurant, there was nobody, all the tables were empty, went to reception and upon arrival we heard the security guard informing them about our arrival and telling them that they should tell us about being fully booked, the guy at reception looked at us in confusion and we asked about the game drives multiple times (we just wanted information about which different types there is) which he immediately replied that they have no availability and that ALL the game drive vehicles are full and currently in the drive, take note there were 4 vehicles empty standing outside and not in the drive, and NOBODY in the Restaurant. Staff were rude and ignorant. Will never come back or recommend. We tried calling and nobody answered. Even had to drive a different route which is not on maps and not recommended for cars. Very...

The hostess gave a disapproving and judgemental look, so we stayed in the same spot. When I asked for ketchup, it was forgotten. Later on, another gentleman nearby helped get the condiments. To order dessert, it was difficult to get the attention of the waiters.
Overall, this was disappointing and very different to the quality of service of Cape Town / South Africa in general that I had...

Beautiful restaurant, good food, and horses grazing in the view. Unfortunately, the experience was spoiled by a very loud group seated far from us, yet their shouting laughter and boisterous talking carried across the restaurant. This wasn’t about alcohol — just a lack of respect for others who came to enjoy the calm atmosphere that a lodge should offer.
What made it worse was that the staff stayed inside and never addressed the situation. A quiet word could have restored the balance, but instead, guests who value peace were left to endure it. Money can’t buy decency, but professionalism from staff can uphold it.
Because of this, I’ll leave it at one star — not for the food or setting, but because the staff aren’t trained to manage...
