Service was extremely slow. Our table was ignored most of the night while the tables surrounding us were attended to constantly. Took them minimum 30 minutes in between to come to our table. The table next to us and other tables with tourists got much better service. The waiter at the table next to us (who was also supposedly our waiter) was talking about how he had to get his toenail removed due to a quad biking incident and this made someone at my table look down and then proceed to lose her appetite. We asked for our bill and it took 40 minutes before we decided to walk up and go pay it at the bar. The table next to us received two rounds of complimentary shots while we got nothing. Joplins is a small restaurant in George that is very unique. The menu mainly only has steaks (fillet, rump, sirloin, T-bone) service with garlic butter sauce, a fried egg on top served with chips. I had the rump and with the garlic butter and the egg, it was too rich and I could not eat it. I basically did not like it! Garlic butter sauce over the steak with a fried egg is rather excessive. Not everyone likes it this way so the menu should provide more alternative dishes. Too simplified, that is all they basically have and that is how they do it with egg and garlic butter with chips.
