La Rosa Blu Café — Restaurant in George

Well!After promising myself and others to stop here at some time after years of driving to George airport it finally came about after Mother Nature closed the Outeniqua Pass!Yip it is a gorgeous setting and am sorry now that I didn't order a burger as they seem to be famous for them!Had a good bottle of Rose with an artisanal roll with salmon and salad and stuff!It was fine and supposedly hip,the salad being served in a jar and other things coming in hundreds of separate containers!So tired of that presentation choice!But none the less it was good!Sister had a stripper burger ("as in no bun") She is over 50 and has body aspirations!All in all a good experience with a happy ending!Went home with a beautiful new rose called Fragonard!PS Sister says carrot cake divine!A...

Extremely disappointed! Visited Cafe on 2021-07-22. Arrived, no one at entrance. Completed COVID protocol on our own. Stood around inside Cafe for several minutes, waiter walking past us without even asking if he could help. Walked around between all the other patrons, no staff assisting to show our group to seating. Eventually I intercepted waiter and asked him if he would help. He said he would be back soon, after waiting some more time without any service (Not even being seated) we left. If the staff cannot even seat a group a shudder to think how poor the meal and drink service would be. As we were leaving I bumped into a friend, he also indicated that they have been subjected to poor service. Would not go back or...

Good evening, my family, and I wish to commend your staff on the service rendered to us during our visit there today. I so wish I took the name of the lady who served us. She went out of her way to allow an absolutely enjoyable few moments. The food was exceptionally good, the water was gorgeously garnished and refreshing, and the fire was so warm and welcoming. When she realized it was our daughter's birthday, she offered to take pictures of us without us even asking and even ensured the table setting was perfect.
