Lake View Restaurant — Restaurant in George

It was my first visit to this restaurant ,got invited to a 21st birthday on 05 July, lovely place ,awesome atmosphere ,on my arrival one lady jumped in front of me while the security checks ID ,DON'T KNOW for what reasons ,so she said she's the chef and must go and prepare food, the lovely evening has started , a few hours passed and then we had to sit in the DARK, no back up lights, I saw a gas heater on my right , Felt so sorry for those who was sitting on the deck, COLD AND DARK , The food was a DISGRACE , TASTELESS,COLD AND DARK JUST LIKE THE EVENT THAT TIME, I asked one of the waiters for a candle for our table , until this hour she have not even provided me with a candle. The chef said due to its a private estate they cannot have Generators here, we had to eat tasteless food with your CELLPHONES light on , the guy next to me showed us how raw his meat was , the chef took it back , came back after 20min with his plate, HELL KNOWS WHAT HAPPENED BACK THERE,, but his meat was still raw and she have the audacity to ask if the food is better , It seems like they don't have any backup if they have a power outage or something, I don't know how they operated during load shedding , Beside the Beautiful view, atmosphere, I would not recommend this restaurant after dark , the experience was not so lovely, I felt so sorry for the parents that hired this place , they should get a 90%...

Upon my second visit to your restuarant, I am even more disappointed, than the first time. Friends of ours used and paid your venue for their daughter's 21st birthday party, on Saturday: Apart from the fantastic view, the atmosphere was cold. Upon arrival, we had to park our vehicles outside the gate ( security reasons????) Seeing that its winter not even a gas heater, ( which was promised) as the majority of the guest was sitting on the deck. The food was distasteful and cold ( an insult to my friends) To top it all, there was no backup plan (generator) in place when the power went out. The manager was non-existant, not even an apology to the guest. Our 5-10 min walk back to our vehicles, was in total darkness and we had to make use of our phone's flashlights. Just to find no security guard to assist us at the gate, to let us out. Not a very nice experience. I will definitely not recommend your place to anyone, unless you stepup your game. I suggest you do a partial refund as it will be the decent...

Very disappointing... nice view but everything else not worth it. No atmosphere, awful loud music blaring and the food was barely edible. Ordered the fish and chips - the fish must have been really old as could already smell it from the kitchen when they were preparing it. Looked horrible and tasted worse. Even the chips were nasty - looked old, brown and tasted of reused oil. I suspect they are using stock photos as I did some research before going and the dish I received looked nothing like what they have posted...
