Family of 5 visited on Sunday for lunch. Welcomed and served by Des. Des was very friendly and knowledgeable regarding the meals and preparation. He also knows the history of the restaurant and even showed us a picture of the previous structure after the flood.

We ordered the craft beer and realy enjoyed it. The menu offering is wide from breakfast to lighter meals and some stunning pizza and seafood. Meat lovers are catered for. They have a nice selection of starters and desserts. They also offer kids meals. They are licensed and have a wide selection of drinks and wine.

We had pizza, chicken schnitzel, two of the speciality hake meals and kabeljou. All the food was prepared to perfection and was extremely tasty. Portion size was generous and presentation good. Chef Francois has got the magic touch. His food is very tasty and the combination of flavours were lovely.

We were entertained by a young man playing the violin. It was very relaxing and added a nice touch to the experience.

The facilties were clean and discretely out of the way. We did not visit the Bar area but can imagine having a drink or two there. There is a play area for kids and the views are amazing. Adequate parking. Value for money.

A must visit if you are visiting the area and should be on your...

The venue is stunning, a new build with no expense spared. Various eating areas offer numerous moods from "fine dining" to a relaxed sundown experience. Wonderful kids play area was also a win. Also, historically, the best sea food in the area.

But... the food was cold and tasteless after taking an hour to get ready, the kitchen also managed to get the order wrong. Also only one ordering kiosk so that took almost 20 mins to place the order. Table staff didn't check in to see if the food was okay and when they did arrive they literally dragged their feet as they walked.

The managers seemed to be deeply concerned that the experience was anything less than perfect which was a good sign but I've seen several complaints on social media about the same issues which seems to suggest this issue has not been handled as yet.

Sorting out a Liquor license (which they currently don't have) will also increase foot traffic and improve the vibe. I'm sure they're already making work of this.

They're a new business so let's hope they manage to solve these issues. Better trained staff will definitely make this a brilliant experience. The entire community wants to support you but the...

Food here is normally excellent, and we have gone back many times. Unfortunately, last week was a bit of a disaster. From the start...we had booked a table which we go quickly. At sit down we ordered starter and water...water came..no glasses, so after a long wait we got up and went looking for glasses. The started took more than 1.5 hrs to arrive...in fact after the main. We ordered fish.. which is normally fantastic... but it came pink, watery and undercooked. Luckily as we discovered this, the started arrived, so had that to eat eventually. Fish was taken from the bill...and it was just assumed we will not be having dinner...no replacement or remake even offered. Owner/Manager who was there and walked around whole night...never can to table. Sure the place was full...but you know this will be the case, its holiday season, so plan apprpriately, please! We sawnother tables also sending some food back..so we were not the only table. We will go back...but not in season. We ate both pretty chilled, but had we one just slightly more demanding customers at our table, and it would have been a very unpleasant experience, as there was a lot to...

Don’t waste your money - go to Seeplaas rather. Food - Flavourful, but quite average compared to other options. Served “prawns” in a peri-peri soup- the prawns were smaller than 1cm and when a comment was made to the manager they promptly brought out their frozen bag to prove the customer wrong. Even if they are, clearly a terrible choice if they shrink by 75% when cooked. Get something else before selling shrimp-lookalikes for R200/€10. Service - All very friendly, but we had three different people over the course of lunch. Atmosphere - Nice location, but the acoustics are terrible - it’s super noisy

Lovely location, right next to the parking for the beach. Stunning views. When we entered the restaurant we were enchanted by the most beautifully serene violin music. However, the waiter seemed irritable - as if we had somehow inconvenienced him for supporting his employers. The food took more than 30 minutes to arrive and the waiter had forgotten details like the side of chips I ordered and he forgot that my partner asked for no ice in his water. I ordered the mussle soup. It was a disappointingly average gastronomic experience. I expected something creamier with much more butter. The chips were cold.

Our first time in Mossel Bay couldn’t have started on a better note! From the moment we arrived, the warm atmosphere and ocean views set the tone for a beautiful evening. A special shoutout to Duncan, our waiter, who truly made the experience unforgettable. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and seamless with his service, anticipating everything before we even had to ask. It’s rare to find someone who brings such genuine energy and care to what they do. Thank you, Duncan and the Meet at Sea team, for giving our group such a memorable night in Mossel Bay. We’ll definitely be back!
