Over the years we have come here a lot. Unfortunately it’s getting worse and worse. If you come for drinks and don’t mind a wait then it’s a good place in a great location. Waiters don’t introduce themselves and you never seem to get just one. There are a few (very few) waiters who seem to know what they are doing, polite, friendly and helpful. That is followed up by incredibly slow service. Sedge is a slow town but not that slow. The cleanliness of the place has gotten worse over the years. It’s unacceptable. No restaurant should have so many reviews complaining about dirty cutlery and glasses. The food is okay, sometimes you get lucky and it is good, unfortunately more often than not it is below average. It is incredibly expensive considering you could visit other places along the garden route that have incredible standards and amazing food for almost half the price on some dishes. *if you can’t cook and egg you should NOT be in a restaurant kitchen! I don’t know if the management has stayed the same over the years but they have either lost all interest or they have no understanding of what they are doing. Read morePaid R2 300 for the “honeymoon suite” which compared to the other rooms doesn’t really have anything special except a different fan that doesn’t really “fan” and maybe a bit better view of the ocean. After dinner we went to town and came back to our room which had no electricity, upon asking the security (us and other occupants) what the hell was going on he explained that no one is answering their phones nor the owner. Eventually left the doors open for some sort of breeze through the room but didn’t really work. Eventually fell asleep woke up and packed the car to leave. The disgusting smell of garbage and dustbins IN the parking lot was just one to much. The smell was horrible. Booked new accommodation somewhere else for a lot cheaper, better “honeymoon suites” and spectacular ocean views.
I strongly suggest management gets an outsourced company to clean and wash the bins at-least twice a week and maybe change the name from honeymoon suite to just ocean view room. I also strongly suggest that you review your pricing as it is way over priced compared to other options in the area.

Read moreHORRENDOUS SERVICE. We came here on 30 December 2022 for drinks on the rooftop. We were told to go upstairs and look for a table - nobody seated us. We then proceeded to scavenge for a table and after about 10 minutes found a dirty table. We waited around 30 minutes to be given menu’s and practically walked up to the bar to beg for a waiter to serve us. We were given menu’s and waited another 15 minutes before our order was taken. Once again we had to look for a waiter to ask whether our drinks are on its way - some 15 minutes later. After we finished our drinks we asked for the bill and got told to pay downstairs. Once again we walked around like lost souls, blatantly ignored by the staff, asking who we can pay with - yet another 15 minutes passed. Management absent. Ps. We also witnessed a family clean a table themselves after waiting about 15 minutes, and pack all the dishes on a nearby smaller table in order to sit down at a clean table. (Picture attached) Neither I, nor my family or friends will return to such unwelcoming, unprofessionally run, poor serviced “restaurant”. Spent 2 and a half hours just to drink a milkshake....
