Here's a place well worth visiting for a whole bunch of reasons.
Walked in and were greeted and seated. Restaurant was full, they made a plan. 4 kitchen staff (which included the owner, who was cooking for us all). Waiters- I counted 3. They were serving tables, pouring drinks and at the same time rotating, checking everything ran smoothly. All the waiters served us, whether taking our order, bringing a drink, or food, or seeing that we were happy. And it wasn't at any time an overkill or too much. It was perfect. The owner also came to our table. I heard 2 other patrons from different tables complimenting a staff member and the owner respectively on the outstanding food and service.
We ordered 1kg ribs which is served with chips and also the steak plankie, also served with chips. The chips were incredible (!) And a LOT!!!!!!! The ribs - I wonder how they make them. Softest ribs I've probably had...absolutely worth ordering, super tasty! I saw the Dom pedros and couldn't believe my eyes! Ended up ordering one, but instead was served two wine glasses of Dom pedro (because they didn't have straws and we wanted to share) -.and this was equal to one normal serving - which is huge!!
What I really appreciated is the staff's energy. They're a young group of people, and they're fast!..there wasn't a second I picked up any form of slackness or not wanting to do something. They were moving around that floor double time, serving meals and Malone.tjings happen.
Value for money = excellent Staff = what a pleasure Food= huge portions and tasty Atmosphere = very nice and comfortable

The best ribs tasted was in 89 Mosselbay Spur, only to be disappointed for decades across SA even at places that name themselves rib whatever, until Friday, these are the same!! Fall from the bone, correct cut, the best possible basting and taste. There's only one option friends and that's the 1kilo, you will finish the leftovers the next morning for sure. The plankie is a great too and the (authentic) chips portion will put any franchise's "large" option to shame. The waiters didn't "wait", rather performing their duties with the energy of Burnthejukebox doing their 80's covers. Read moreWe heard the steaks are great at Rendezvous. So, we decided to try that and sure enough it is true, the steak is excellent. Located on the side of the Bowling Club, the restaurant parking entrance is not the normal Bowling Club entrance, its around the traffic circle at the back of the club buildings. Easy after the first time. It's a casual experience, they have spare ribs on one day of the week, currently Monday.
