SEAFOOD PASTA 🍝 (💰 R99) We selected the pasta special of the day as our shared starter, complete with a side salad and dressing. The pasta was cooked to perfection, the seafood serving was generous, and the shrimp had a lovely fresh texture, with no unpleasant sogginess. The dish was initially underseasoned, but adding salt and Tabasco elevated it to perfection.

BEEF BURGER 🍔 - 💰 R120 ADD CHEESY MUSHROOM SAUCE 💰R35 The beef burger had exceptional flavor, but it was surpassed by the chicken burger. The meal was served with a side of chips that regrettably lacked the desired crunch.

CHICKEN BURGER BURGER 🍔 - 💰 R110 ADD CHEESY MUSHROOM SAUCE 💰R35 I've never had a better piece of chicken on a burger. The exterior's crunch and crispiness were perfectly executed, complemented by incredibly juicy and tender chicken. The chips fell short, but the chicken burger proved to be an exceptional highlight, pairing flawlessly with the rich, sweet, and creamy mushroom - cheese sauce.

👨‍🍳SERVICE👩‍🍳 While our waitress has limited communication skills, her friendliness and willingness to help are commendable. The chef's personal check-in during our meal highlighted the restaurant's commitment to happy customers.

🌊ATMOSPHERE🌅😌 This restaurant's stunning ocean view and the staff's tranquil nature made me incredibly comfortable.

Conclusion: This experience was truly enjoyable. I relaxed, took in the views, received excellent service, savored great food, and received a reasonable bill. I strongly recommend dining here and ordering the crumbed chicken burger with cheesy mushroom sauce.

Upon arrival at the Yard yesterday we sat down and browsed through the menu. Both my boyfriend and I were starving as we had been on the road since super early and hadn't had breakfast (we arrived at 12). I was super keen on a chicken dish and he was keen on their one dish which specified that it's not always available. Okay that's fine so I placed my order of the chicken dish and he placed his order if it was available, the waitress came to us and told us that unfortunately his dish wasn't available and that they had no chicken whatsoever.

I dont eat seafood and unfortunately none of their big dishes were to my liking and pretty much I'd say most of their menu was chicken related, which they didn't have and didn't bother tell us until my excitement had been built up for chicken.

Anyway, a little bit of unhappiness but that's not the end of the world, after reassessing my options I ordered the cheesy open sandwich with bacon for R60, I got the tiniest piece of bread (akin to the size of single slice of normal star bread) with some cheese and not even a full rashers worth of bacon bits sprinkled on the top. Within 3 bites my open sandwich was finished and I was still absolutely starving, after paying the bill and chatting to the Supervisor and bringing forward our recommendation of drastically lowering the price of the slice of bread, I got into our vehicle and had to scrounge around for any snacks I could find just to satisfy my hunger until I could get food elsewhere.

I would NOT recommend that open sandwich for the price unless you want to be left hungry, please just put it on the small plates side of the menu where it mentions that it's a starter sized portion or meant to be an add on as a side onto one of the bigger dishes.

Otherwise the flavors were good and the service fair. Just for some context for my pic below, I am a relatively small lady...

We arrived and ordered a drink, non-alc was limited to only 1 beer. We wanted seafood so we ordered fish and chips - it can be either grilled or fried. We wished the waiter told us about the Sunday special (which we saw on the written board behind me too late) which was a variety of seafood which included 2 prawns, 2 hake goujons, calamari and a mussel pot with savoury rice for R15 more because we would've rather ordered this.
