Wish to share our family’s experience with hope that nobody ends with the same disappointment and feeling of being “done in” We stayed at Fynbos Ridge (foto) which is separate from the Golf Estate. The gravel road should not be driven with anything but a bakkie and NO Trailer - its terrible. Not the fault of the establishment except keeping it quiet. Takes forever to drive in and out to the main tarred road. The units are shared and is separated by a wall with a inter leading door. We had noisy neighbours with kids so it felt intrusive and most definitely not peaceful. There is only one minute small bathroom (no bath) for a family of 4 - really? Unit was clean but the 2 sofa couches was stained and dirty from many arms and hands over the years. No dinner table - would not fit that is how small it is. Trust you will enjoy eating at the kitchen nook. Only one wash basin - to wash and to rinse sishes in. Awesome! Love a braai? No braai here - only a clapped out webber and if it rains or the wind is too gusty - well bad luck - mother will be cooking. The rooms although spacious enough short attention to detail given the top dollar rates being asked. no headboard. no table and mirror for the ladies. my wife nearly got electrified when the bedside lamp shorted (illegal connection). the sparks landed on our bed from the short and luckily did not start a fire. so the trip at the DB Board had to be reset - only problem its not in our unit and we eventually had to disturb our noisy neighbours to assist with this small task. If there was an emergency and the unit next door was empty - well too bad. no emergency number - tough cookies. The outside of the “estate😂😂😂😂” was unkept and the lawns and sides not attended to. To Management and owners - the view although spectacular does not justify the unjustly rate you charge if the above is what you offer‼️Its an absolute disgrace . We did not stay the full (intended) period and had to look for alternatives. I am an seasoned traveler , local and abroad, and cannot recall the last time we had such a...

Fynbos golf estate will definitely not see us again. Before we booked our 9 night stay we asked if there is a beach as kids wants to go fishing, and we would like to spend the day' s relaxing on the beach the answer was yes. Only to discover that you need to be a resident of Eersterivier to enter the electric gates (privately owned), golf estate manager gave us the pin( not allowed to actually as he mentioned to us) but once you enter there is no parking( as all property is privately owned) so on a daily basis we need to travel approximately 90km x2 just so the kids can have some fun on the beach) of this 10kmx2 are a terrible gravel road , they also fail to mention this. We complained about this on the day of arrival....after 4 days we had to call the office for clean towels. We shorted our stay with 2 days, and they refuse to assist with even a 50% refund. For price they are asking they can definitely include cleaning or for long stay include a day or 2 of cleaning. I called to ask if they have laundry service, and was told yes, but it is only for fynbos guest, when I mentioned we are guest, I was told only for hotel room guests not fynbos ridge...so this is definitely not for people looking for a...

Extremely disappointed with our recent stay at Fynbos Golf Estate (Ridge units). For the high price paid, the experience was unacceptable — and unsafe. Wi-Fi was advertised but unavailable. DStv was also listed but never worked! and had reportedly been out for days prior to our stay, with no notice given. More alarming was the total lack of fire safety. No smoke alarms were installed in a unit that includes an indoor braai, and exposed electrical wiring was found in the bedroom. During a power outage, the plugs never came back online, we had no power, no Wi-Fi, and no TV for most of our stay. We were forced to consider leaving early due to safety concerns, especially with children in our group. Despite reaching out to the estate for resolution, the response has been dismissive. For a premium-priced property, this level of negligence and poor communication is unacceptable. I strongly urge others to think twice before booking, and I hope the estate addresses these serious safety and service issues before someone gets hurt

Very very Disappointing. The welcome letter says the pool is free for guests. However when my brother went to look for the pool, the lady said its R70 each. So 70 x 20 people? No ways! The only reason we booked this place for a family reunion was for the pool for the kids entertainment. We were extremely disappointed and had to drive 45 mins to swim and entertain the kids. Not only that, we were requested to clean our own apartments as if theres no house keeping. Definitely not worth the price we paid. 1 star rating from me.

A hidden little gem. My husband and I were staying at the Tsitsikamma Nature Reserve and felt like playing a round of golf. Fynbos was only about half an hour away. On our arrival there were friendly faces to great us. It’s a 9 hole golf course with 18 hole tee box’s with a beautiful sea view. Whatever you do try not to hit your ball into the rough grass… it’s like the earth just swallows it up. All in all a beautiful little gem hidden away just off the Eesteriever off ramp.
