Sibaya Spur — Restaurant in KwaZulu-Natal

When we entered as expected the restaurant was packed with customers enjoying their meals. We were seated in a quiet corner away from the busy eaters as to our liking. When we were seated our waiter handed us a menu and walked away. We were ready to order and had to wait for 10 minutes to get someone's attention to order our meal. The lady manager came through to check on us, we notified her that our waiter did not return to take our order. Soon after the waiter arrived and the manager questioned her on why she arrived so late to take our order. We then placed our order one of them being crumbed mushrooms as starter. After another long 20 minute wait, our starter arrived. They looked absolutely delicious however once we took a bite, the mushrooms were ice cold. We refused to eat it and waited for our waiter to arrive to complain but after waiting for over 15 minutes we had to go to another waiter to complain. Mpho M our savior arrived and handled our case and assured us that he will bring us freshly hot mushrooms. Which he did and he also brought us our meal which came hot out of the pot! Meal was absolutely delicious and Mr Mpho M was feeling extremely bad because of the inconveniences that we had and wanted to gift to us dessert as an apology. We were so touch but kindly refused as it was not necessary for him to do so. We paid for what we ate and here I am a happy spur customer writing this review. Mpho M is such a kind hearted person with excellent customer skills. Even after us having our meal he always checked up on us to make sure we were okay. Please please give him an excellent bonus! My wife and I recently visited Spur at Sibiya Casino and had an exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the quality of both the food and service provided. The standout feature of our visit was the excellent service rendered by the store manager, Nompilo, and our waitress, Zandile. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and ensured that our dining experience was nothing short of delightful.

The atmosphere at Spur was enhanced by the lively dance performed by the staff during service, which added to the enjoyable vibe of the restaurant. This unique touch not only entertained us but also contributed to a warm and welcoming ambiance.

Overall, our visit to Spur at Sibiya Casino was memorable and exceeded our expectations. The combination of great food, excellent service from Nompilo and Zandile, and the vibrant atmosphere created by the staff's dance made it a truly enjoyable dining experience....

My husband and I had lunch today (18 April 2024) at this Spur. Lee the front desk hostess was very polite and displayed a very friendly and welcoming character. Our order was 2 sirloin steaks one with the mushroom sauce. We ordered chips and onion rings for the side dish. We also ordered a chocolate milkshake (very disappointed, very little ice-cream used)to share and told the waiter that we would want a diet soda with our meal. He said that he would check and let us know. Our meal was served within 10 minutes.The steak was small in size and I doubt it weighed 200 grams. Then the onion rings were fried totally crisp, crumbling. Our diet was no where in sight. We called for the manager and Lee came to us.
