Friends Café — Restaurant in Mbombela

When we first arrived at the restaurant, there was a server who greeted us with a big smile on her face and offered to try and find us a table though the restaurant was packed and quite a few reservations had been made. A woman whom I assume was the hostess (blonde hair, blue eyes, short) walked up to her and asked if we had a reservation, the server told her no we didn't and she immediately went "No, no, no, all the tables are reserved" with such an appallingly dismissive attitude and I was immediately put off from there. They eventually found us a table and we were served by the most amazing waiter. She was quick, friendly and and so helpful! Everybody enjoyed their food and I highly recommend the condensed milk coffee. I really didn't mind that there was no space in the restaurant and reservations had been made but that hostesses attitude was beyond disgusting. Only forces beyond human control can understand why she's in the service industry. And she also watched us like a hawk while we were there. We had a 65 birthday celebration at Friends last night 28 May We were 9 adults Our waitress an angel- Promise took care of all of our needs for beverages, correct ordered food and some nice deserts She delivered and was the best She made us laugh, we felt at home and its just nice to sit have fun and enjoy a celebration where everything is perfect Well done to Promise girl!! All the staff are well trained and even Ronny made us laugh. Promise is what her name is: she will make your time at Friend worthwhile valuable. I've never in my life had such horrible service, got there with my friends at 2pm and we got table and no one checked up on us we even had to call one waiter so we could get drinks. Even then our drinks ended up getting finished and still no one to check up on us we even requested for our food to be takeaway because we only got a response about our food around 430 pm since 2 pm .and funny enough the surrounding tables even started eating before us, was it because they were white ?
