Roman's Pizza Valley View — Restaurant in Mogale City Local Municipality

Love buying pizzas here. Quick service. Food freshly prepared. Only issue is when they have specials, they compromise on quality of ingredients used, like 2 pizzas, single toppings special. Call and collect, great service. Good customer service. Clean sit down area. Need to look at a way to reduce the sun filtering into the seating area in afternoons.

EDIT: So they recently have launched a new service where u can order online at a specific store and they will deliver. Firstly they charged an exorbitant R35 delivery fee. I am 2 kms away. I ordered at 16:10 in the afternoon. Their sms and email confirmed that they have received my order and that it would leave the store by 16:35. There is no way to contact them to find out what is happening to ur order cos they don't answer the phones. I called about 7 times. Was put on hold. At 17:25. Still no order. I get into the car and drive there. I waited a bit outside cos of social distancing. At 17:40, I enquired about my order and they said they were getting ready to dispatch now. One and 1/2 hours after I had ordered. Totally ridiculous. When I asked what the delay was, they told me that the person who changed shifts never told them that there was an online order. I was furious. I asked why they didn't call me to tell me about the delay. They nonchalantly tell me they are sorry. No customer care or skill. Please don't use their delivery service. I asked for my delivery fee to be refunded. The pizzas were fine but I have noticed that their prices have gone thru the roof. R260 for 3 pizzas. I was not going to complain about the price if I got good customer service but.... I would rather use the Mr D app. They know what they are doing. Romans, it looks as though that we have to pay for your highly prized pizzas cos u could not open...

Not a good experience and I am not happy about posting this but I feel that this is a message to the owners about how I and others felt tonight.

Arrived and placed my order at 19:10 .

The cashier was sniffing badly and seemed sick and not particularly focused on the person placing the order , I was interrupted by other staff members while trying to order. This is just rude and not at all acceptable, just my 2 cents.

My order was simple , nothing outrageous 2 boxes 4 pizzas. The cost R450.00. The place did not seem too busy. The place was fully staffed.

It took 48 minutes for pizzas to arrive.

I could have gone home ,started my wood fired home pizza oven , made 4 pizzas from scratch in the same time. I know how long it takes to make a pizza.

I will never go back there again and will support my local smaller pizza place who has less staff and gets your order out in 20 minutes regardless.

I must admit the pizzas were very tasty but the cost and slow service aftertaste lingers long after the pizza...

I never complain or leave bad reviews, so when I do, it's because it's something that happens often. I am a regular customer of Romans Pizza Valley View Noordheuwel. Recently, and it has accured more and more often, when we order at any time - peak hours or not, loadshedding or no loadshedding, we get our pizza with the dough still raw and mushy. (We always order pan base)

Tonight we ordered the new steak and pepper pizza. There was hardly any steak on. We could have ordered the sava flava range as it atleast has alot more of one ingredient on.. and the base was barely cooked. The crust was puffy and the rest was dough mixed with the melted cheese.

It is becoming very disappointing to say the least. Please get your staff and kitchen back...
