The Hedgehog Bar & Kitchen — Restaurant in Msunduzi Local Municipality

The Hedgehog Management: Weve been coming here for sometime, and love the Hedgehog. Unfortunately there are more and more of the 'unpleasant patrons' frequenting this bar ruining it for others ! People who drink 'one drink every two hours', or arrive drunk, and shout at the top of their voices.Or order coke and top up with Vodka from their big handbags !

The resident locals are becomming fewer and fewer,chased away by 'bad loud shouting 'behaviour , which the on duty staff seem to ignore! At times having a conversation with my partner or group of close friends becomes impossible ,and so we leave and go elsewhere, where their is better discipline and management !

Being ex Durban Royal hotel staff and having returned from the UK, ive seen bad behaviour at the hedgehog, which is apparently allowed to get out of control, and carry on, spoiling it for the local residents,who are trying to support you ! This undoubtably will lead to locals avoiding the Hedgehog, and you having to close down....This would be very sad, as PMB has not got many great places to go....

Would appreciate better management here ,and letting the 'undesirable elements' know that they are not...

Hi am Brian have been in Hedgehog twice being served by the same waiter my second time was yesterday 14/01/2023 at 9:30 and we had bad experience towards our waiter Nokwanda, We came in walked passed her we sat down we waited for 11min and when she came back she said "HI"meet,Greet and seating down was very poor she left the menus, came back after 5min and she only said what do we need NO introduction very poor first visit to the table "NO SMILE" l asked her a you our waiter she said YES l asked her name and she pointed her name badge WOW l asked her is she OK and asked why we had to wait so long for service and she said she is busy with her customers.l asked her what a we to you she started giving us attitude No apology at All. I THINK SHE NEEDS TRAINING TOWARDS SERVICE AND GREAT EXPERIENCE TOWARDS CUSTOMERS. And so disappointed The manager tried to remedy the situation by giving us a new waiter. Still no apology from either party.

The food here is absolutely delicious! The burgers are mouthwatering and filling, and their chicken wings are definitely worth trying. I also really enjoyed the onion rings—they were crisp and tasty. The pastas are packed with flavor and highly recommended. Their cocktails are creative, refreshing, and very well made.

The service is friendly and efficient, and although meals can take up to 20 minutes, the wait is completely worth it. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, giving you a choice depending on your mood. There’s also a bar area, and TVs placed around the space make it a great spot for sports lovers.
