Afrikanos is a decadent oasis in Danger Point, Gansbaai. You will not be disappointed when you add them to your MUST VISIT list when you're in the area. Where else are you able to have a swim with crocodiles in South Africa?! Tours are available too if you do not want to swim with the crocs! Cuddles with the crocs (read swim) is R550, tours R60 (adults) & R30 (kids).
We had a quick dinner (Pollo pizza), their pizza base is truly unique and I found it absolutely delicious.
Their Dark and Stormy cocktail (virgin) is such a comforting (must be the honey) refreshing (lemon) and delicious (ginger) experience! They should sell jugs!!
The Turkish Delight, another unique virgin cocktail must! Wow!! So delicious!
The decor and art is really cool and interesting. Their various seating areas caters to whatever mood you're in.
Well done Keith (owner) and team, your hard work and effort is a pleasure...
Read moreAfrikanos was a very cool experience. We didn't see much visibility underwater because the algae was kicked up but it was still worth getting in the water & being super close to a Nile Crocodile. I don't recall the guide's name but she was so informative and engaging. The restaurant was also delicious and Mila I'm not sure if that's her name , our server, was amazing! She was so kind and I have sensory issues with metal utensils and she was lovely enough to offer suggestions . She was very attentive & just seemed like a lovely person. Just a wonderful experience and thank you for providing a heater & blankets as the water was absolutely freezing. There are also lockers for our belongings. The malva pudding was so delicious I had to order 2 & our entire group enjoyed their food as well. Definitely a must if you are in Gansbaai. I also love how the restaurant was not crowded and...

Unfortunately we waited an hour for our breakfast when the restaurant was not even that busy. Two of the four guests received their breakfast well before the other two. When my breakfast arrived it was cold and very off putting and the Salmon not fresh as you would expect. We saw people at a table close by, coming in after us, but received their food way before us. We later realised that they were probably owners or staff members as they were wearing the black Afrikanos t-shirts. Visiting the area on a regular basis, we are beyond disappointed. I will not be recommending this place to visitors unless they pull up...
