Read morePopped in for lunch.. And desperately needed some food to soak up the wine from all the tastings up the road. Had a fantastic toasted chicken mayo with delicious chips. The sandwich said it came with pepper dews and avo. The peppadews were inside amongst the chicken mayo but the avo was out of stock. We were offered some cheese instead which came in a little bowl. Hmmm.. Why not put it in the sarmie and toast that too? Made me wonder if the avo came in the self same little bowl.. Odd.. Service was great. Will be back.
Came back. Wanted another toasted chicken sarmie, but it was a Sunday. No can do, said Anna, our waitress. They're cooking Sunday roast. Saw a few as we were being seated. My wife had the steak pie which to be honest, lacked spices and could have done with a quarter of the salt that was in there. Ease up on the salt chef, we can always add more if we...
Read moreOn Monday we decided to have lunch at PK.Probably the worst lunch i have ever had.I dont know if the chef was on his day of but wow it was really bad.My wife had the Chicken Breast which was horribly overcooked to the point that it had very crispy marks on the outside.Needless to say she did not finish I had the Beef Oxtail that was very salty to the point that i had to send it back,The meat was one massive piece of Bone and 2 smaller pieces with 9 pieces of potato. The supervisor came out to find out why and told me they dont use salt but instead Bisto, I would think that making an Oxtail stew the gravy would be made from scratch,This way you can control how your food tastes The lamb curry was not Lamb but Sheep and had massive amounts of bone and sinew and sweet,My brother seemed to like it though At R220 a plate one would think that at least the meat would be of better quality. The place and staff itself is fantastic and i still left my waiter a good tip as this was not her fault. PLAASKOMBUIS you really need to do better! My family and myself will unfortunately...
