JT's Kitchen — Restaurant in Overstrand Local Municipality

Found this nice spot through a referral from a friend. Had supper there and was pleasantly surprised by the food prepared by the husband & wife team ( and owners). They mostly specialise in seafood dishes, but do have a lovely lam curry and some vegetarian dishes on offer. The Calamari tube starter, filled with melted cottage cheese, Jalapeño and garlic, was truly excellent. The Springbok Carpaccio was also a refreshing addition to their starter menu. With only about ten tables inside, JT's is a small venue with a nice atmosphere. There are also a few tables outside for those summer days and even an open stoep upstairs with a beautiful sea view . The restaurant seems to be relatively new, as it doesn’t have an alcohol license yet. However, this is not a problem, since you’re allowed to bring your own wine. The service is excellent—very helpful and genuinely committed to making sure you have a great experience. You can really feel that there’s heart behind it.

The food is outstanding. You get truly high-quality dishes at a very fair price. The portions are generous and the flavors are excellent.
