Grounded Container Bar & Cafe — Restaurant in Polokwane Local Municipality

Five shining stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Grounded container is a marvelous place with the friendliest staff I've seen yet. Among the places I've experienced around Polokwane I have to rank it first, thus far. We had made a reservation of a table to celebrate a birthday and unfortunately we were late as two of our friends had to travel from Pretoria to Polokwane for this special lunch. Upon arrival at Grounded Container we were received with smiles and told not to fret that we were late and treated with such quality service. The manager known as "Champ" assured us the best of service and truly they exceeded our expectations. Our waiter was this wonderful lady called Conny, she made us comfortable during our stay and she was always on top of things. She would see us taking selfies and she would gladly approach and ask to take pictures of us. To be received to such hospitality was new to us, we were later offered a tour of the restaurant.

The food, the drinks and the vibe. They have a diverse menu which is almost similar to most restaurants, but they offer a next level specialty when it comes to their drinks. We had a plate of ribs and the ribs were slow cooked to a sweet, tender and tasty perfection. With the sauce used on the ribs creating such a mouthwatering taste, it sure was a visit to remember. The drinks were such works of art, we couldn't help but continuously take pictures of them.

The Vibe The late night vibe gives the restaurant such jaunty feel created by the light show created by the lights across the trees and the outdoor space. Just before 8pm the manager approached all the tables informing us that there will a special performance that will require them to switch of the lights. The performance was made by Kevin, a stunt performer playing with fire and this was just mesmerizing to see the length of which the restaurant goes to ensure that every stay there is perfected. I truly recommend this place would definitely be visiting...

On arrival at Polokwane it is probably the most enticing restaurant. The outside area is extremly soothing. On my 3 visits it truly was beyond exceptional. The service the food the atmosphere phenomenal. I have returned a year later, to encounter the most horendous disappointment. The menu from a 5 star hotel to something from a mobile food vendor. The service well you order for adults to receiving kiddies menu. The starters that were previously presented exquisitly to less upresentable then a home meal. The ingredients that were done freshly are now purchased at a local supermarket I could go on but in a nutshell truly dissapointed in how this once incredible restaurant is degraded & delapided. No need to say it's a last could of gone to a local take aways paid a quarter of the bill and the food in all probability would of been better. Money wasted and left...

Great concept and lovely atmosphere to chill with a bunch of friends over cocktails and great conversations.

The bar is located on the outskirts of town on what seems like a farm. It is well spaced and has entertainment area for kids. The seating area has plenty of space both in and out of shade.

The menu seems to be good. Well on paper. Ordered the pizza and it was nothing special. The wings were way too dry. The taste was also off as a result. Even a good sauce was never gonna help them.

I’m just concerned about the location on Google Maps. I got lost as it took me to some farm behind the establishment. I think they should try to update it because it wasn’t only me who got lost.

Besides that, it was a chilled environment with great people. Would I visit again ? Yeah, to give it one...
