The Fast and The Furriest FibiThe Fast and The Furriest Fibi
If you have kids, this is a MUST visit place! Have 2 boys that have a 5 year gap it's tricky to find a place that both boys will enjoy. Freedom Adventure Park caters to young and older kids. From jumping into a foam square pit, climbing walls, dodgeball, and trampoline, high adventure obstacle course to tiny tots toy area, jungle gyms, and more. Now working moms, they even have a glass walled office cubical where you can see your kids and get some work done. Don't worry, they will be looked after by the best friendliest and sweetest staff ever!!! My son hurt his knee while jumping, and before I noticed, he was carried back to my table and had an ice pack. Mind you, he was fine in 2 mins. Let's talk food; we had pizza and fries, the chips were out of this world, hand cut with the skin on, "slap chip", soft on the inside, this mama ate a whole bowl by herself. The pizza thin based was amazing 👏 Kids had sugar free slushy 10 out of 10 for this hidden gem

This place is actually amazing, much better than the place that used to be there, like a mixture of Rush (Claremont) and The PlayStation (Tokai) fused into one place. Fun things for the kids to do whilst you enjoy some coffee or pizza, there are also works pods available should you require some quiet whilst the kids play. Fees are R100 for kids ages 4 and above per hour, and R45 for kids ages 0 - 3 per hour. They have slides and jungle gyms, trampoline parks and fun climbing activities that span the building above you for the kids ages 7+. They have Birthday Party hosting deals as well if you wish to have your kids Birthday party there. Their staff are helpful and assist with the kids whilst you enjoy some breakfast or coffee or just need some quiet time in the work pods. I would recommend this place as a must visit for the kids, tons of fun and definitely easier on the pocket than other places. 5 Stars.

Kids party set up looks lovely & convenient in terms of offering but safety is not priority at this establishment. The kids are not required to wear safety socks, many barefoot. Even though there might be an allowance to wear any type of non slip socks the usage of socks is not checked or signing of an indemnity. I have never seen so many kids of all ages cry during one sitting at this type of venue. The marshall's are way too relaxed & tolerate rough play. The climbing activities are not well supervised. With only a 1 point safety harness & no safety nets. Kids often moving platforms & harnesses without supervision. Spacing between the suspended track & metal lattices are of concern. It's another to apply them. Being an indoor venue, capacity was full & the usage of masks on children (5±) is not encouraged. It's one thing to say safety protocols are in place.

Upon entering I told the guy behind the desk this is my first time here and I don’t know how it works. He ignored me and just keep pointing at where I should go and when I told him I don’t know where he is point to he repeated himself and said just go there. Annoyed he then went and said I can go sit at the table that was dirty and with a used water bottle that no one removed. A bad first impression. There is no designated place for shoes and no supervision in the jumping area. My nephew was assaulted by another kid that deliberately threw the ball at him with intent. Another kid was eating in the jumping area and verbally assaulting my other nephew. I’m reprimanding my nephews telling them how to behave accordingly before going to the play area. I am not impressed Freedom Adventure Park Tokai. Even though you know with bringing your kids to places like this that there are external factors one has no control over. There are no protocols put in place to combat this. Eventually after over an hour I saw a staff member just standing there in the area doing nothing. Not being observant enough to see how rough it got in the bounce area. Eventually after an hour and 22 minutes and me telling the waitron about my observation a staff member appeared in the jump area. Trying to regulate things by managing the balls but not saying anything to the kids, then she just started playing with the ball herself. No supervision by the blocks area, kids throwing blocks up from outside the pen at each other. Before leaving I went to the bathroom and was appalled by not only thr smell but at the disgusting state. The kind waitron offered my nephews slushes/slushies and golden tickets as compensation for the horrible experience. Rose was lovely and kind. Compliments to the barista for making a nice chai latte and hot chocolate that was a tad bit consoling. NGL I was a bit petty when leaving and did not close the door behind me but at that point I was just done and completely...

What an utter disappointment. This place has terrible service. The manager, Nuraan requires serious training as she has no people skills.

The food is bland. Pizza lacks flavor. The kids chicken strips is not convenient for a kiddies portion. It's three huge pieces of basically crumbed chicken that was so deeply fried that it did not look appealing. Plus when my child tried to take a bite of it, all the skin automatically came off, which you can imagine how oily it was. They call it a chocolate milkshake, yet it's a vanilla milkshake with chocolate sauce so why deceive a customer, rather call it vanilla with chocolate sauce. When I expressed my disappointment about the chicken strips the waitresses offered to change it. Which I changed it for the burger, which I took as a takeway and yet to taste. I refused to pay for the milkshake and chose not to drink it.

However, when we called Nuraan to discuss our experience and my friend discussed her pizza, Nuraan was argumentative in the sense of, she did not validate what we were saying, but trying to tell us about other people's experiences. I explained that I was telling her about our experience and only offering suggestions, which it's clear, she is not interested in. Then my friend explained she is a manager and should know how to deal with customers. It was a frustrating experience.

The owner of this establishment needs to work on improving the establishment. My recommendation would be for staff training and customer care as well as developing the chefs skills. This is not the first time I am eating at this place and my previous experience regarding food was also horrible. However, I decided to try a different meal, in hope that it would be better, clearly not.

But I wonder if the owner even cares. The only convince is the jumping section for kids.

We definitely won't be back. Playstation is much better in terms of service...

My husband and I along with our 9year old and 10month baby, visited the Freedom Adventure park in Tokai on Saturday the 18th of June 2022, we wanted to experience the place and ofcourse an outing for the kid's. First impressions, obviously kid friendly place. It's quite small and I found it very cramped, seating is limited as well, It would've been lovely if they had a dedicated area for babies or toddlers, however, I would definitely not recommend this place for small babies, as their websites says ages from 2years old. I ordered myself a cappuccino and my husband ordered an expresso. He then told one of the waitress that his coffee was cold and the milk wasn't hot, even though he requested for hot milk. The waitress (not our initially waiter) then said to him, do you want me to heat up the coffee for you? My husband responded, and looked very confused, as we know when something like this happens in a restaurant, usually the waitress would respond by apologizing and then offer to make a fresh cup of coffee, this never happened. My husband then asked the waitress, how was she going to heat up the coffee? The waitress said to him with the frother. He then asked her to send our waitress whom served us initially, he explained himself again and she made him a fresh batch of coffee. My husband and I both ordered a Big chicken burger and cheese burger meal and our daughter a pizza, the food was ok! Our waitress was friendly, but I did notice one of the other waitress, approached the waitress who was serving us, they had some disagreement (this was very unprofessional) just before we left, I noticed another disagreement amongst the other waitress. First impression of this place, pretty much sums it all up in this review, there are definitely thing's...
