The place doesn't even deserve the 1 star.
The place was empty, though we had to wait, as soon as we were seated we ordered our "hot drinks"
Hot Drink Order : x1 Wimpy large coffee, 5 roses tea with "hot milk" & Hot chocolate waited over 25 mins for which we went and asked what was happening upon the "hot drink" arrival order was taken incorrectly and milk had to be asked for again so we had to wait longer.
Food orders were : x2 Cheese omelette (all day breakfast) - Extras : x2 Bacon, Patty, Borewors, "extra relish" and platter of chips (2 people) & x1 Mixed Grill : Barbecued sirloin (Done Medium) Eggs (Done Sunnyside up) waitress was made aware to tell the chef that the white of the egg should be done, sides : Chips
Upon food arrival : The cheese in the omelettes was as though it was grated and just placed, one of the orders didn't have the Borewors and the chips platter didn't arrive, patties were overdone, the mixed grill came immediately you could see that the egg was not done so it was sent back when the meal re-arrived the rest of the food was already cold, patty was over fried, stake was full and not medium done, egg in the mixed grill order was still not cooked even after sending it back. Had to ask for the Borewors and platter of chips as it didn't come when the order was brought the 1st or 2nd time.
This experience was totally underwhelming. Spend your cash elsewhere - Much friendlier, cleaner and better value restaurants out there! It's unfortunate that this wimpy was the one that was closest to us at the time - in advance if ordering lunch go in at breakfast or even the day before because that's how long...
Read moreI placed an online order for collection. When we arrived there was no one at the cashier's desk. There weren't many patrons and one waitress on duty. The waitress assisted us, but was so slow. We saw our burgers were done, we just had to wait for the milkshakes to be done (this is usual and did not tske long to be made). We opted to pay in store, but the waitress was taking so long to figure out whatever she needed to do in order for us to pay. I asked if there was a problem, and she said no, she was just struggling to find mega chips on the system. She printed our receipt but still did not input the amount for us to pay. She eventually called two staff members to assist her, one of whom seemed to be the manager. They printed another receipt which was more than the first one printed and we then paid for the second receipt. After we made payment the waitress called to the kitchen staff to make one of our mega chips. We demanded she give us the food that was already made (which had now been standing for over 10 minutes) and we just left. What we realized what happened is that they mistakenly only made one of the mega chips we ordered, made us pay for two and then only did they make the other chips. Instead of her just simply apologizing for their mistake, making me pay the first receipt (which was less due to one less chips being made) and letting me be on my way. Read moreI was there today for a quick lunch and unfortunately my experience was disappointing, and I believe it’s important to bring it to your attention. The service was HORRIBLE to say the least. When we were seated, our initial waitress disappeared partway through taking our order, and another server had to step in. The order that eventually arrived was incorrect, and the fries were burnt. What was most concerning, however, was that the manager, Precious was present but did not approach our table or apologise for the poor service we received. As a customer, I value good service and quality food, which is why I chose your restaurant and needless to say today was the last time I spent my money and time at that Wimpy.
