Toledo Spur — Restaurant in Rustenburg Local Municipality

Our waitress Samantha didn't introduce herself. She didn't take individual orders, she assumed we all want well done eggs, she didn't confirm the orders with everyone. She did not give us butter knives, nor wipes or water to wash our hands. The service was really poor from her, it was as if she was chasing the number of tables to serve instead of giving us proper attention and doing what is expected of her properly. I have been to this spur and know the standard of service here which i take as a 5 star but with people like Samantha, you will lose the stars. Please let her redo the training. She must understand this is not just a job, but a service to the people.

We had to ask someone to ask her to come back and take orders properly because we were 6 and i made my order and for my son and how we like our eggs and she ran with that instead of asking others how they like their eggs. And she was irritated when my niece was...

Would not recommend. Dirty dishes are taken back, but tables arent wiped before seating new guests. Prices are high. There is always a problem, they dont have an item / the waiter doesnt place the correct order / there is something wrong with the food... there seems to be new staff very frequently and they arent attentive and they dont write down and repeat your order to ensure the right food will come (training?). It always takes so long to wait for the bill and pay.

EDIT : after feedback the Spur was nice enough to give a voucher as an apology. Upon return the staff and manager were really friendly and the right food was served fast. Changing from 1 to 3 stars. All one wants is good service...

I visited Toledo Spur in Rustenburg, North West on Friday, 19 April 2024 around 6:30 PM, and I had an amazing experience. Our waitress, Adelaide, was truly exceptional. She is a lovely black African lady who is very friendly, welcoming, and always smiling. Her positive attitude made us feel right at home. She was also very neat and clean, which added to the comfort of our visit.
