Came here for a three course lunch as part of the curated wine experience with the Franschhoek Wine Tram.

The starter was great. I love the spring rolls. They were different and tasty. The rib eye was disappointing, it’s not hard to make a good ribeye and theirs lacked flavour and textures, though the French fries were good. The dessert (chocolate brownie) was also underwhelming - I would have expected it to be warm and gooey.

The wine pairing for the lunch wasn’t served at the right temperature (the reds were warm) and this undermined the quality of the pairing. The pairing also wasn’t explained and introduced like all the other wines on the tour had been so it just took away a bit from...

We went there for lunch as part of the wine tram experience. All three of us had the fixed three dish tapas menu (Caesar salad, yellowtail ceviche and beef cheeks with gnocchi) with wine pairing. The meals were all delicious and the wines well paired. All round very good. If I was very fussy, I would say that, being wine farm, the waiters should have a brief blurb on the wine paired with each dish. For dessert we had the rosé poached pear which was a delicious finish to the meal. Service very pleasant and quick enough to be back in the tram an hour and a half later (including the tractor ride from the tram station to the restaurant). Lovely view from the...

My experience at Paulina's Restaurant was just wonderful. I found it to be the perfect spot for a relaxed lunch in a setting that's absolutely beautiful, right on the terrace overlooking the vineyards. The food was fantastic and not at all pretentious. I had one of the best burgers I've ever tasted, and the wine was the perfect complement to the warm afternoon. What I really appreciated was the friendly, down-to-earth service, which made the whole experience feel so comfortable. For me, it's a true gem in Franschhoek, a place I'd recommend for anyone who wants amazing food with an equally amazing view. I'm already thinking about my next visit.
