Well what started out like a nice evening out with my husband, turned into a nightmare. Waiting over an hour for our food and witnessed a family leaving because they had no service. Watching people arrive and leave while still waiting for our meal. Had the manager pop by to say our food is on its way and that the delay was due to a grilled being turned off. I was about to leave as we had not recieved our meal and it didn't look like it would arrive anytime soon, and the table of 4 that arrived way after us and recieved their food and eaten and about to leave themselves. Then only did things speed up. To my disgust when we recieved our meal the ribs I ordered was dry and all the manager did was slap on some more basting and not to talk about the salad which looked like it had been standing out for ages. My poor husband recieved an almost raw steak and the pepper sauce was ice cold. Sorry I did not get the name of the waiter that helped us but all I know was he transfered there from Fish Hoek Spur and in my opinion he sould be a manager as he showed more concern and was more helpful than the manager. Read moreI've been going to the Spur ever since I can remember. But ever since the Spur in longbeach mall moved to their new location the service and waiting time has been shocking. Today my mom and I went for lunch. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time. We waited 10 minutes for a drink to arrive and 30 minutes for our food to arrive. Our food wasn't even hot. I was lukewarm. Then we asked for our bill and one of the managers got confused and thought the table behind us asked for the bill and said "Hi ma'am would you like to use your R50 voucher." So I told our waitress that he's at the wrong table and she went to tell him. He didn't even come to acknowledge us, he only apologized to the lady behind us. The manager didnt ask us of we wanted to use our voucher so we just assumed we would get our usually discount with our CMR card. We then waited almost another 15 minutes for our bill to eventually arrive. No discount was put on the bill and my mom was already fed up and angry so she said just leave it. Read moreThird time in a row now I have ordered food, gone to pick it up, still waited ten minutes before I got the food, then drove 2 min to get home opened the packets and found chips and onion rings ice cold and burger dried out and cold as if it has been sitting out on the shelf for a few hours. The other time we also ordered buffalo wings. Got home chips where cold and wings dry with hardly any dirky sauce on them. This seems to be the trend. Three disappointing meals in a row that have landed up getting thrown to the dogs or into the bin.
I am sorry but in this covid19 world where we have to be cautious what we spend our money on, I will most certainly not be supporting them anymore. Food used to be good, gone completely downhill. You are better off just making it at home yourself.
