I was at freshstop caltex garage stellendale in kuilsriver this evening and whitnessed a horrific display between a woman who wanted to buy electricity and a petrol guard named phumeza. The lady came to the shop very humbly and Phumeza told the woman who was wearing a gown that she cant go into the shop and she needs to go home, now this woman is a new resident in the fairly well kept complex behind the garage where i also stay, phumeza had an attitude which the lady was confused by since she understood there was a policy but she was desperate and asked fot some empathy, i took pitty on the lady and bought her electricity for her, now i am also wearing my pajamas since for 11 years ive been a resident and had no issue with caltex employees and know then personally, but after i asked the staff to maybe treat her with a bit of decency, they said i need to petition with management on monday if i have an issue which is uncalled for since im not the one involved im only trying to do a good thing for another human being, but the petrol guard phumeza and the manager on duty said its covid rules... Covid is over people and the lady is not dirty but she had stand outside being judged by other customers which is embarrasing. I am dissapointed by the hiring criteria for freshstop as ive seen some brilliant staff members like zoe and liam who are fast and friendly but it seems that these new people are not being vetted correctly. Please speak to your petrol attendants because they seem to think they own the garage and act like they are above human decency. Phumaza also pointed her finger in my face which is on camera when I spoke to her she said "you can to speak to whoever you want and im done talking to you" so i urge you guys to please think about human decency and i will take this further should it occur again. Had to wait almost 10 minutes for a pepper steak pie that I still couldnât get assistance on. Three staff members behind the food bar, one assisting a clients order, one on coffee, the other, walks out the back, sees me but still doesnât assist, hasnât given me eye contact after walking past me twice, then comes out again to assist a cashier on finding the chips button, she or the cashier that was assisting another clientâs order could of easily rang up two pies with the amount of times theyâve being up & down the food bars point of sale.
After going to the front till point to ask if I can have assistance on the pies and biltong, cashier happily assists and I thought my pie craving problem will be attended to, said she unfortunately cannot assist with pies whilst packing the biltong but to ask the coffee employee to assist, after asking her, she says she cannot assist because sheâs checking stock and goes on counting the amount of sugar satchels on the counter. When I asked for the manager, manager in person said to assist me in the next 2 minutes but after walking out after 5, found her scolding at some guy about leaving his bread in front of the store or something.
I always enjoy the service as well as the droerwors at Fresh Stop but after seeing how dry the batch was persuaded me to leave the store. I have had several problems and they have never resolved them and if they do - they want you to come in which defeats the purpose of the delivery service.
I ordered a few items, but they did not have the bacon I wanted in stock.
I placed my order at 14;56 at 15:58 they had replied saying that they didn't have the bacon in stock - at that point I was asleep as I work nights.
I asked my friend to accept the delivery - they had brought bacon that cost double the price of the bacon I asked for. I buy FoodLovers R26 bacon they had brought R48 Eskort bacon. I had let them know I don't want it and that they shouldn't replace item as they stated it's not in stock and they did not receive any instruction to replace it. I don't drive it would cost me R80 to go there and return R50 bacon. They decided they are not going to respond and it's been almost three hours since-they are reading my messages.
