Manitoba Spur,Desmond, Manager, Vernon, waitron, you really showed what a Family Spur is all about. I was allocated a table, after bit of wait to be seated. Manitoba Spur was a jostle with life. Eventually the Manager, Desmond spotted an open seat and allocated waitron,Vernon, to escort us to our seat. After waiting a while I decided to get up and go, no more surprise for my two Grandsons. As I approached the exit at FLM somebody tapped me on my shoulder. The Manager, Desmond followed us and coerced us to please return to the venue, he will sort it out immediately, not willing to lose a customer. To me it was no big deal. He explained that every customer he sees leaving, without out being served, may be a potential family and friends never to return. Apologized, coerced me to please come back in and order what I wanted, on the house. I indicated that this is one of our favourite venues bringing my family with, as well as for the pensioner specials for my wife and I. He would not take no for sn answer and eventually had us back inside, indicating the waitron to put forward, whatever ordered on his, Manager's tab. I had a birthday voucher and school voucher which I wanted to use and submitted eventually. The generosity was overwhelming, that is excellent service. A manager having his eyes on customers entering, leaving, dining and picking up wobbles in between, professionally taking care of customers are rare, with exception. The expertise without stirring up a commotion is really commended. Eyes on, actional service decisive and discreet is to be commended. I still used the vouchers, ejoyed a hearty cup of Americano coffee. MANITOBA SPUR YOU ROCK. Swift action by a decisive and hands-on manager like Desmond shows not only his fervor, but passion for what he is doing. Really appreciated. Ps, our favourite Senior Citizens Retreat, for a special treat that makes one feel special and cared for. Thank you...
Read morewhat a terrible experience. my daughter received a voucher at school and we thought okay, we'll take our family of 4 there. We arrive and a kind waiter Matthew gets us a table. Not his section unfortunately. We get seated. The table is SOAKING. Manager brings the table mats and notices. says someone will be by, waiter eventually comes and we have to ASK her to dry table. She brings kids food. No cutlery. The chips taste like its made in last week's oil. eventually our food comes. My fries were worse then the kids. And my ribs cold and the sauce or marinade has now congealed on top. You cant send it back cause the waiter is MIA. And no, she isn't busy helping other tables. she is chatting with her other co workers at the till. Eventually I'm so over it, ate none of the chips and 2 pieces of my ribs. Box it up. We decide to order desert. Hubby asks her if she has the entire order as she isn't writing it down. She insists, she has it. She forgot his order of Oreo waffles. barely apologizes when he asks her why she didn't write it down. Needless to say, we prob wont be back ever. complete waste of...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible customer service!!
Placed my takeout order at 19h04. The lady - who I later realised was the manager - indicated that the food would be ready in 15 minutes. So, I got to the restaurant 20 minutes later. Upon arrival a waiter mentioned that they were packing my meal and that it’s done. Hung around in the restaurant for another 20 minutes waiting for the food to come. I had to ask two different people to check on my food, one of which was said manager. Both of them returned with incoherent excuses as to why the food is not yet done. They were actually still making it! I hung around for another bit and then gave up and insisted on a refund. The manager eventually got to the counter to say that the food was almost ready, but by that time I was understandably furious. Nobody had communicated anything to me even though I have been walking up and down at the entrance during this whole while.
I should have learnt from my previous encounter but always give venues at least a second chance. Based on both my experiences I’d advise not to visit this...
