Ecotopia Vegetarian Restaurant a vegetarian paradise with lots of heart and a sustainable touch.
My recent visit to Ecotopia in Busan was a highlight. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the warm, eco-friendly atmosphere the bookshelf with lots of interesting magazines and books and smiling staff. The restaurant impresses with a creative menue that would delight even staunch meat eaters - every dish seems like a flavourful journey. And I was particularly impressed by the variety: the ingredients tasted seasonal and of high quality, obviously great importance is attached to sustainability here.
My tip: try the mushroom, broccoli and rice dish. Plus the homemade ginger 🫚 lemon 🍋 tea. Perfect for a cold winter's day. As I was planning to do the Coastal Hike afterwards, I needed something warm that would energise me - but not fill my stomach too heavily.
The service was attentive and hearty, the prices very fair for the quality. The location, close to the beach makes Ecotopia perfect for a break after a walk on the beach or the Coastline Hike nearby. There are also plenty of options for vegans and allergy sufferers.
Ecotopia is more than just a restaurant - it's an experience not to be missed. I'll definitely be back and gladly recommend it to anyone who enjoys food in combo with...
Read moreRelatively small, but lovely place. Beautifully decorated. The service was excellent, the food was fresh and tastes delicious. I'd recommend the curry, though bibimbap tastes also good. Homemade ginger lemon tea was a hit. We got it hot but it's also possible to get it as ice tea.
Everything is conform with vegetarian diet, however I'm not sure about vegan, though everything we got had no diary or egg. There is a menu in English and the lady speaks English as well so there will be no problem if needed.
The owner makes a break between 15-17 o'clock. We were a a little bit earlier there, since there isn't any mention of that on Google and the place seems open. It began raining. The lady saw us waiting outside and opened the restaurant earlier so that we didn't get wet. So friendly and nice people.
If you're in Busan, definitely go check this place out. This comes from a non-vegetarian. Visited this place simply because I couldn't find any Muslim conform option nearby. This happens often but I've never ate that good of vegetarian meal before so definitely give it a try, even if you're also...
Read moreThe food here is delicious and bursting with flavor. They use high quality ingredients and prepare each dish with love and care.
We ordered the Eco Curry and Tofu Steak. (The onions that came with the Tofu Steak were perfectly caramelized.) The dishes also came with sides of kimchi and pickles. And we had the chocolate chip cookie for dessert. Everything was delicious!
To drink, we had the hot lemon honey tea and the misu (mixed grains) latte with soy milk. The tea was soothing and the honey gave it the right amount of sweet. The misu latte was so good that I could have it alone as a meal everyday.
We got to the restaurant a few minutes before it was suppose to close but they stayed open for us and made us feel right at home.
Also, the owner is lovely. We learned a little bit about her backstory and that she built a library in Nepal. We were in awe at the great things she’s doing and made a donation to the library to show our support.
Overall, we had one of the best food experiences in Busan at Ecotopia. A must try for those looking for delicious and healthy food...
