Taejongdae Jjamppong — Restaurant in Busan

After visiting Taejongdae, I looked for a recommended restaurant and found this. The restaurant specializes in traditional Korean noodles, including Jajangmyeon and Jjamppong. They use a tablet for ordering, which is a modern touch. While the tablet allows you to select different languages, the names of the dishes still appear in Korean, so I ended up using Google Translate to place my order.

I ordered a bowl of Jajangmyeon and a serving of Jjamppong. This was my first time trying the Jjamppong, which I had seen on TV being prepared with a generous amount of seafood stir-fried with chili powder and then cooked with broth. I found the flavor to be somewhat reminiscent of Shin Ramyun😂.

The Jajangmyeon here is different from what I'm used to; it felt more like stir-fried noodles rather than the typical black bean noodles I expected, which made it a unique experience.

My wife was really looking forward to going here. She had read lots of good things about it. She said it was very famous, which in Korea means it must be good. When we walked in, the man working there grunted and pointed at an empty, but not clean table. Then he walked by, threw a menu at us and didn't say a word. We tried to order, but he just kept walking. We eventually were allowed to order. My wife is a big 짬뽕 (spicy seafood noodle soup) fan and I love 짜장면 (noodles in black sauce), so we ordered one of each. The restaurant boasts no meat in the dishes, just veggies and seafood, which I was fine with. But the dishes lacked flavor. Also, I could of done with less onions and a lot more seafood. 오늘 소개할곳은 부산 영도에 위치한 짬뽕 전문점[태종대 짬봉]입니다.

✔️태종대 짬뽕은 예전 노포가게 일때부터 한번씩 한끼를 해결하기 좋아 방문하던 곳이었으며 그당시 짬뽕에 어마한 불향이 매력적이라 좋아했던데 확장 이전을 했다고 하여 주말에 가보았습니다.

예전 생각만 하고 가서 그런지 캐치웨이팅이 있었고 대기까지 하는 맛집이 되어있어서 잠시 당황했습니다.

여기 웨이팅이 있는 시간때 가신다면 기다리는 시간과 음식을 주문하고 난다음 조리를 하니 2번기다리는 단점은 있습니다.

✡️유니짜장 돼지고기를 잘 다져 고소하고 부드러우며 짭짤함이 잘묻어난 짜장면이라 맛있게 잘먹었습니다.

✡️태종대짬뽕 예전 태종대 짬뽕의 불향이 너무 좋아서 좋아했는데 불향은 거의 없고 해산물 때문에 깔끔하고 시원함이 묻어나는 육수로 바뀌어 아쉬웠지만 이건 개인적인 취향의 차이라 괜찮지만 면이 덜익어 밀가루맛이 나고 식감도 끊어지는 느낌이라 아쉬웠습니다.(웨이팅으로 밀리고 주문과 동시에 음식을 만든다는것이 장점이 될수도 있지만 그만큼 급하게 만들어 지기도 하고 음식이 한번에 안나오고 따로 따로 시간별로 나오는것을 보면 위험 요소가 있어보임)

✡️차돌짬뽕 여기 면자체는 자가제면으로 들었는데 면자체가 일단 선호하는 스타일은 아닙니다. 기본적인 거친 표면이 입속을 거슬리게 만들고 계속적인 약간의 밀가루향이 한번씩 치고 들어오는것이 애매한거 같습니다.

차돌짬뽕의 국물이 조금 더 걸죽했으면 좋을거같고 불향은 잘힙혀져있어 좋았으며 다진마늘을 좀 준다면 좀더 진한 풍미를 즐길수 있을거같습니다.

✡️탕수육 탕수육은 겉은 바삭함이 묻어나고 속은 부드럽고 촉촉해 누구나가 좋아할만한 맛입니다.

1.매주 수요일 휴무 2.태종대짬뽕은 해산물이 들어가 있어 깔끔함과 시원함이 묻어나는 짬뽕 3.걸죽함이 내가생각했던것보다는 덜했지만 감칠맛나는 국물과 불향이 묻어나는 차돌조합은 간마늘만 있다면 한층더 풍미가 살아날거같음 4.유니짜장과 탕수육은 맛이 좋았습니다. 5.웨이팅으로 밀리고 주문과 동시에 음식을 만든다는것이 장점이 될수도 있지만 그만큼 급하게 만들어 지기도 하고 음식이 한번에 안나오고 따로 따로 시간별로 나오는것을 보면 위험 요소가 있어보임. 6.자가제면을 한다는데 거친표면의 면과 밀가루향이 나고 덜익은 맛도 올라와 음식을 즐기는데 다소 거슬린감이 있었음. 7.주차장은 가게앞과 근처 제2주차장이 따로있음. 8.지역민들이나 근처 태종대 나들이 오시는 분들에게는 괜찮은 음식점이 될수있으나 맛집을 찾아다니는 분들에게는 다소 애매한감이 있어보입니다. 9.짬뽕 양이 많은편이라 2명이서 먹어도 될거같습니다.

총평가:《부산 영도 태종대 근처에 위치한 태종대 짬뽕은 오래전부터 유명한 맛집으로 소문나있던곳입니다.

그런곳이 확장이전을 하고 웨이팅 맛집으로 거둡나는데는 충분한 이유가 있다고 생각이 들지만 개인적으로는 아쉬움이 남는곳이었던만큼 앞으로 더욱 잘되었으면 하는 작은...
