I had been wanting to visit this Italian restaurant in Gwacheon for quite some time, as it was often recommended as a popular spot in the area. However, to be honest, the overall experience was somewhat disappointing.
First of all, itโs not easily accessible by public transportation, so we had to drive. The restaurant seems to operate both a temporary outdoor parking lot and an underground parking garage, but the sign for the outdoor lot was so small that we missed it and ended up parking in the basement. Unfortunately, the underground garage was narrow and difficult to navigate, with single-lane paths throughout. At one point, we almost had a collision because the entrance and exit share the same narrow lane.
What made it worse was the strong, unpleasant smell of mold and the damp air in the elevator area between the parking lot and the restaurant. It really took the energy out of us before we even sat down.
If youโre driving a large vehicle, I strongly recommend using the outdoor lot and avoiding the basement parking entirely.
As for the food, it wasnโt bad, but it felt overpriced for what we received. While I understand that pricing reflects not just food but also ambiance, service, and facilities, I couldnโt shake the feeling that the cost was excessive. In particular, the dessert was a letdown: โฉ11,000 for three small scoops of ice cream with nothing else. Iโm not sure how premium the ice cream was, but even a small garnish or fruit wouldโve helped justify the price.
I came with high expectations, especially since itโs considered one of Gwacheonโs top restaurants, but overall, it turned out to be a rather underwhelming...
