COSMO 40 — Restaurant in Incheon

Regenerating old factories into cafes has been a popular concept for several years in South Korea with some of the largest examples including Terarosa Gangneung, Daerim Warehouse (대림창고) and Cosmo 40 in Incheon. Built across four storeys and over 3,500 SQM of floor space Cosmo 40 features a filter coffee bar by Bean Brothers, bakery by Roissant and pizza by Take it Easy.

The concept, planned by one of the countries largest independent coffee companies Able Coffee Group, took over seven months to complete including input by architect firms Lifethings and Proof, furniture by Rareraw and lighting by Bitzro.

Bean Brothers run eight cafes including two overseas branches in Malaysia, while their main blends Velvet White and Black Suit are used in close to 200 cafes throughout South Korea.

Their roasting factory is located in West Incheon, not far from Cosmo 40. With close to 100 Tons of coffee and four different roasting machines (Loring S35, Probat 300, Stronghold S7, Destoner D35) it is by far one of largest roasting factories in...

This cafe is Gajwa-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon was created by renovating an abandoned factory.

So this cafe is very big.

I recently visited this cafe with my friends and was surprised by how large the cafe was.

And it was like a factory, and it was unusual for a cafe.

The inside of the cafe was really like a factory, and the high ceilings and wide view were impressive.

Also, the atmosphere created by the dark lighting was unique.

The cafe menu had regular coffee and various types of bread.

In particular, there were many different types of bread and they were very tasty.

Lastly, this cafe offers a special service of selling clothes by running a garage sale market from time to time.

A wonderful and interesting old factory converted to a cafe. Very big and spacious inside with a distinct steampunk feel to it as the original structure and fittings are all visible and part of the ambiance.

Lots of varied seating and areas with a nice selection of pastries, snacks and drinks.
