도우보이 - Doughboy — Restaurant in Jeju

Apparently, these folks don’t accept phone calls to check for availability of menu items, or whatever. We arrived to be told in a very offhand way that, 'The pizzas are done', followed by a shoulder-shrug. This place is not all that easy to find, so phone inquiries are important to maintain good relations with potential customers. It’s not fun to drive all the way out there, only to be disappointed because someone can’t be bothered to answer phones. Despite claims to the contrary, when we checked their Instagram account, there were no updates of any kind about service or menu item availability on the day in question. In fact, the most recent update of this kind had been posted 17 weeks earlier, as far as I could see. If phone inquiries from potential customers are just too painful to deal with, a more satisfactory system for relaying relevant information is required. We wanted food and we didn't get it, despite our efforts to ensure we got fed. There's no getting away...

My wife and I found this place on accident after an hour at the maze race. We were hungry and glad we found it! We ordered the basil pizza and zucchini pizza which had small bits of fish on it. Both pies were delicious and chewy. The real winner though was the roasted pear and burrata cheese salad. It was nothing I have ever eaten before. So flavorful! The other was the pineapple and passion fruit soda. They added tajin to make the soda drink spicy 😋 Highly recommended...

Had an incredible meal and experience here! The owners and staff went above and beyond and were so friendly. The food and drinks were absolutely amazing. I will definitely come back next time I’m in Jeju.
