Initially, Kitty and I were planning to go to a pirate restaurant for lunch, but then we saw this Sanhobanjeom 2 promotional banner, and it totally intrigued us. We decided to switch gears and have lunch here instead, especially since Kitty was getting hungry.
Located at 317-7 Yeonpyeong-ri, Udo-myeon, Jeju-si, Jeju-do, Sanhobanjeom 2, specialises in Chinese-style Korean dishes is definitely worth seeking out. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Kitty particularly loved the Jjamppong (Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup), praising the generous portion of seafood, the perfect temperature for the chilly weather, and the reasonable price The abundance of seafood made it a fantastic value. I opted for the Jajangmyeon (Black Bean Noodles) and appreciated the flavorful black bean paste and the generous amount of onions. Both dishes were clearly made with care and high-quality ingredients.
The restaurant offers a versatile ambience with both indoor and outdoor seating options. The outdoor seating area is relaxed and casual, perfect for enjoying a meal with a scenic view. It has picnic-style tables and benches, reminiscent of a seaside restaurant. The indoor is more enclosed and casual, suggesting a more traditional or slightly more formal dining experience. Beyond the food, the restaurant's beautiful surroundings and pleasant scenery added to the overall positive experience.
Sanhobanjeom, the sister restaurant of Sanhobanjeom 2, has built a strong reputation for its delicious Chinese-style Korean dishes and has even appeared on popular South Korean television shows, such as MBC and Chungju TV, a testament to its popularity and quality. The promotional banner featuring the owner, along with the television logos, is a clear indication that this restaurant takes pride in its culinary expertise and the quality of its dishes.
But that's not all! This boss is also a very funny, entertaining guy. He's not just running one ice cream store below the restaurant. He's got a whole little empire of deliciousness going on. The ice cream stall is just one of several adjacent shops that all sell his peanut ice cream and other treats, along with the same Chinese-style cuisine. While the rest of the staff is busy tending to the Chinese cuisine, he's busy at the ice cream store, blasting funny Korean techno music, and making everyone laugh. It's a fun and unexpected bonus that adds to the overall experience.
If you're looking for a restaurant in Seoul that offers delicious, authentic Chinese-style Korean food in a beautiful setting, I highly recommend seeking out Sanhobanjeom 2.
