One of the things Starbucks does well is that they try to capture or create a flagship store with the local elements of the area that they take root in.
This Starbucks Jeju reserved is one of those must visit in that sense. The moment u enter, you will spot the massive kinetic hanging art installation. This centerpiece is clearly the visual anchor of the space, guiding the eye and giving the space a strong artistic identity.
The first floor also has a huge merchandise area with items that are Jeju exclusive, Jeju store exclusive, Korea reserve exclusive and more. Took some pictures for your reference.
Likewise the same goes for their menu items. There are drinks that are reserve exclusive like their cold brews. As well as Jeju store flavours like their hallabong Orange flavour etc. pics of their menu are also included for you to see.
There’s a nice mock dry rock garden occupies the center of the lower level. It includes basalt stone slabs arranged as a winding path, surrounded by volcanic rocks, dry grasses, and dark gravel. This evokes traditional Korean garden aesthetics, introducing a strong natural element that contrasts beautifully with the industrial-modern finish of the building.

Read moreIf you’ve been to any other Starbucks reserve, don’t come here with high expectations. The merch was sparse, practically nothing Jeju related or special. The drinks were mediocre, they still have fizzios, which was interesting but you can get a nice sparkler at basically any other cafe. There were only two varieties of beans available for pour over at the time we went (Indo and El Salv). The surrounding area was pretty for pictures, but very artificial. The architecture, vibe, and interior are VERY pretty and visually interesting. Parking was ample, seating also ample. Unfortunate bottom line: flashy with very little substance. Edit: I’m removing a star because my group popped into a random Starbucks in Seongsan-who, Seogwipo-si and they had an amazing selection of Jeju specific merch AND the new summer collection of merch AND more regional desserts and drinks AND they gave me a coupon for a free tall drink after purchasing a Jeju beverage tumbler! My disappointment in this reserve location is...

I’ve visited many Starbucks around the world, but this one on Jeju Island feels like a glimpse into the future. The architecture is sleek and modern, yet it blends beautifully with the island’s volcanic landscape. Inside, you’re welcomed by an artistic, almost sci-fi staircase installation and calming natural elements like lava rocks and native plants — it’s like walking into a design museum that happens to serve world-class coffee.
The atmosphere is serene, with large windows that open up to peaceful garden views. It’s the perfect place to slow down, sip on a Reserve brew, and take in the harmony between nature and cutting-edge design.
If you’re in Jeju, this Starbucks isn’t just a café — it’s...
