먹골함흥냉면&갈비탕 — Restaurant in Namyangju-si

My mother in-law and her friend recently brought me here after my surgery check up and we ordered kalbitang. It was so good I had to come back as my last meal in Korea before I returned to the USA. Of course I ordered kalbitang (again) and my wife ordered naengmyeon which was also delicious according to her. I saw some reviews that stated this place makes bland food, but based on the 2 times that I came here, the kalbitang for me was consistently just right. I have a medium palate, so I do not like too strong or too weak of a flavor. Also the complimentary side dishes were good, I personally loved the lettuce and bean sprout side dishes, the kimchi side dishes were just OK. The food portion provided was just right for me and our family. However, I did read reviews stating that they raised the prices, I’m assuming this was due to the impacts COVID had, but still affordable in my opinion. My only real complaint is the parking, it is very limited, but that’s out of the restaurant’s control. Overall, this restaurant is my all-time favorite for kalbitang now and I will be coming...

남양주 진건읍 진관리에 위치한 숯불구이 주는 냉면집. 고기 수육이나 제육고명 대신 돼지숯불고기를 함께 준답니다. 올 들어 가장 뜨거운날 2시경에 방문했음에도 대기자가 많았어요. 아마도 더워서 냉면 잡수시러 많이들 오셨나 싶었는데, 왠걸요 뜨거운 갈비탕을 드시는 손님이 절반이네요. 뚝배기 매운갈비찜도 많이 드십니다. 함흥식 냉면은 평타수준... 갈비탕 맛이 궁금해지네요. 다시 이 근방을 올 일이 있다면...

갈비탕이 가성비 최고에 맛은 덤이라는 명성을 듣고 찾아간 집. 기대가 너무 컷던 탓인지 갈비탕은 최고는 아니고 먹을만한 정도였음. 국물은 괜찮았으나 갈비탕에 들어간 고기의 부위가 재대로 된 갈비대가 거의 없어 살 발라먹는대 애 먹음. 우연찮게 내가 받는 음식에만 그럴 수도 있지만 기대가...
