We've always enjoyed the Western-styled food at Outback, since our early years in Korea (starting in 1996!). Over the years we've seen prices inflate and portion sizes shrink.
The cutlery seems to have also shrunk, from the big 'thot's not a knoif, this is a knoif' bowie knife one used to be provided for one's steak, solid enough to fend off a juvenile crocodile, to positively flimsy pieces with meagerly serrated blades that just about make it through the free bread.
I will say that flavour has not suffered: the food still tastes as good as ever. A special note to the coconut shrimp and their citrusy dip that would make a cardboard cutout of a shrimp edible.
And service is fast, friendly, thoughtful. They make an effort to find a server who speaks English every time they see us come in - never a mix-up on our orders, careful to respect allergies, and attentive.
So I'd say that my 3/5 rating is mostly for the fact that dishes are nearly twice what they used to be, and even allowing for post-pandemic costs, inflation, etc. it's almost priced out of our range now. If you have the cash, don't hesitate to treat yourself, but otherwise consider this a rare birthday or anniversary indulgence!

Read moreAn outpost of a US, Australian themed steakhouse complete with giant, stuffed kangaroo and pictures of the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge, but no Slim Dusty or Men at Work. Somewhat ironically, there's no Aussie beer either! They do, however, have Aussie Wolf Blass wine, and the house wine is very reasonable, too. I also recommend the highball, which has a kick. The meals come with a choice of side dishes, which can be a little confusing for first timers. The sides are quite small, and when we ordered more Aussie chips, they inexplicably took 20 minutes to arrive, just in time for dessert! Nonetheless, they were very tasty, provided for free, and came with a complimentary cheesecake dessert, which, again, was delicious. Of the two steaks we had, both were cooked to perfection, although one was a little tough. The ribs were also very good. The bread provided, however, was too sweet, as was the butter. Typically, the coffee at the end of the meal was brown water, American style. Overall, we had an enjoyable meal and would...
Read moreThe food was great, I got the seafood arriabata. It was a little spicy but overall very delicious and easy to go down. Paired it with a glass of red wine (forgot the name but it's the only red glass they offer) for a deeper experience. Tried the appetizer fries - delicious- and a little bit of the black fries and the rice. The black fries may not have been top of the menu but it was very good regardless. The rice was nice and light, paired with slices peas (I think it was? Or diced carrots) and softly garnished with parsley throughout. Service was great, everything came out in a timely manner and the staff was very polite and courteous. It did take some time to get refills on water or a side of sauce but that was the...
