We had a fantastic experience. I know some people have complained in their reviews about the check-in, but they do it in a very smart way actually! The communication through email was very good and when our room was ready (almost an hour before the designated 3:00 p.m. check in), we got an email with very specific details on how to get our key. THE ROOM: The room was absolutely spotless and even smelled clean. (Room 101.) Everything was newly updated, new beds, new fixtures, new tile, everything. The only thing that wasn't new was the paint job, but it wasn't that old (Although I would suggest some smudge cleaning around the light fixtures). Otherwise, it was very well done. The room and bathroom are very small, but It was so nicely done, that we didn't care. We weren't there for the room anyway, we were there for the beach. It's not the Marriott, but for a small beachfront place, it was VERY good. Yes, it is in an area that is a little bit remote. There are a lot of other residences, probably airbnbs and rentals in this area, but it is very quiet (no noisy traffic, or noisy bars, or noisy anything!) It would be a really nice romantic place if you were on a honeymoon or romantic getaway. Have you stayed here more than one or two nights? You might get a little bored though, depends on what you like. The beach and cove are absolutely beautiful. Very clean (Of course, you will see natural debris from the ocean, but it's not very much, and otherwise it is not trashy at all.) THE RESTAURANT: The restaurant was closed, as everyone else here has mentioned. Don't count on getting food at this place (everybody else says the food is bad anyway), So just plan your 6-minute drive into town and find a restaurant or grocery store there. We had a lovely picnic on the beach. Problem solved. The only sad part is that they gave us a room facing the back (supposedly it was the garden view, but really it just looked at a wall of cypress trees). And it didn't even have a balcony, only a window . We only saw one other couple in a room here-- their room was ocean facing, so we don't know why we got the room with ZERO view. Maybe you have to ask for that up front, but I don't know. Otherwise, everything was very nice and the price was great! We were there in December 2024. It was a bit windy and a little cold, but not too bad.

Sorry but for service like this it's well overpriced. Air conditioning doesn't work shower broken breakfast 10 Europe per person max what I can pay for that it's maybe 3e. Paid extra for Seaview but get just the corner room with sea view just a little bit from the balcony even if all the other rooms was empty. Just day before that we visited another place for exactly the same price way better facilities to wise bigger room and amazing breakfast. This is just money grab.. Service very low class

I try my best to give a fair review:

The rooms are clean and comfortable. The room with sea view is nice and I enjoyed the view from the balcony. Because I almost never see the sea it was for me of course a highlight. The service is very nice, the 2 ladies I met tried their best to help us with everything. Very friendly. It’s a very calm place and excellent if you just want peace and silence. As long as there are no room mates with loud kids of course! 😊

Now the shadow sides; There are only a few shelves mounted to the walls for your things and an open small wardrobe. I mean it’s no wardrobe, it’s a rod with around 6 hangers maybe. In the bathroom there’s no space you can place your toiletries. You can use the sink edges. In the description it said that there’s a fan but there wasn’t any. But when I complained then they give me one without any problems. As I said the service is very very helpful in all. The beach is not very clean. There are lots of leaves 🍂 and other tree things in the sand. Don’t expect a soft clean sand beach. There’s no one cleaning it. And the village or little town is quiet dead. I was there end of October and there’s just a big nothing. You can’t find a coffee shop or a restaurant. You have to drive to Augilas which is by car like 5 or 10 minutes. Augilas is very good! 👍 You have a big choice of coffee shops and restaurants or any other shops there.

So all together I can recommend it except the horrible customer support online. I left the hotel earlier than planned and I texted them to ask if a partially refund is possible. And I texted over booking.com and also directly at Maxcaly website but no answer. I texted them also by mail, no answer. This is frustrating and for me a no go. An answer is a sign that they value their customers. Even if I had a negative answer is much valued for me than...

At first we didn't think much of this place, but it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip and wanted to stay one more day. The rooms are simple, but complete and impecable. Being right at the beach is very convenient especially when the hotel provides you with a parasol to stay at the beach all day. The owners are incredible. Very nice people and accommodating. But the most amazing thing in this place is the environment and the food! It is a great place to relax and to share amongst local tourists and families. I cannot rave enough about what a wonderful time we had. The food was unbelievable, the best seafood we have tried. The "cochinillo" and the paella were the best we tried in Spain. The freshness of everything and the preparation has no comparison to anywhere else we have been. Thank you for giving us one of our fondest memories in...
